I never use the you pull / you tank thing when i pug on any of my tanks.
But i will reply in chat and tell people to stop doing it and let me do my job. Some people understand and others dont.
Tolerance goes both ways, but i do believe that the attitude towards tanks and healers is getting worse over the years.
I have been pugging alot during legion and bfa mainly in M+ and i have seen the worst attitude from people.
And i can honestly say that those 2 roles get a lot of blame for not making keys in time, even tho we did everything in our power to time it.
Be that pull enough or taking the optimal route (ofc i made mistakes down the line, dont get me wrong) yet we are the first to blame after a key gets depleted or we dont make +2 or even +3.
The last months i am playing with a set group of people and it is actually more enjoyable for me.

Agreed, and well communication is key which obviously wasn’t the case here. Especially in higher keys this matters and I also let my group know and apologise if I accidentally pull something. And also how amusing that must’ve been

Considering this guy is still tanking pugs he probably had a lot of dps pulling on purpose. Personnaly I always let a dps who pulled on purpose die.

Same for me when I take up the tanking roll I’m very tolerant IMO and I’m never first to leave a group. Although I can understand if a tank has told DPS to stop pulling and they continue so he/she leaves. The game is definitely more toxic than it has ever been. And that’s great btw I for one am a-little tired of PUGS.
Is tanking your main role though ?

No I’m mostly on DPS. I will only tank on an affix I will find enjoyable or friends/people ask me to help them with a key.
Does this matter to post in here? Or why are you asking just curious.
Anyway i have been tanking as a main role ever since TBC on every class possible of tanking in any content. (raids / M+ / CMs etc)
i 100% don’t believe you’re innocent in any way. Your wordage condemns you. As for you pull it you tank it … yup im 100% behind that and completely agree with any tank who says it.
meatsack pulls and aggros, dps kills em, healer heals.
Anything outside of that means youre performing outside your remit and should get punished.

Yeah I think that’s the main difference here, I mainly tank and mostly pug as the good casual I am so my patience towards dps who want to do my job instead of me is very thin.

Personally I think ‘U pull, U tank!’ should be reserved for people who repeatedly pull mobs not people who accidently pull a group just once. Then a ‘whoops, sorry!’ ought to be good enough.
Lets face it **** does happen in dungeons sometimes. You might accidently target the wrong mob, you might back into a patrol.
But if **** is constantly happening around you then maybe you deserve to be tanking all that shizzle and healing your own self!

People who mainly tank tend to be less tolerant to dps shenaningans in my experience.

Not my own experience or thoughts on this, but i guess that also depends what you are used to or what kind of person you are.
This basically in most of the pugs i have seen, sometimes i would respond like: that was a close one to just emphasize it cant happen again without saying it out loud 
see what I mean, aggression and verbal garbage all the time. You’ve just proven everything ive said about you. You were to blame for the entire incident, weren’t you.
I hope every time you do it and every tank you come across does precisely the same thing to you. You deserve it

Been playing as tank and heal only at high level, and I feel like its always those roles Who takes the blame when something goes wrong…
We tanks and healers out there, we need to start to back each other up when dps starts blaming, flaming and calling out all the wrongs we do… Cuz when tanks get blamed, The healer feels relive that its not them Who get the heat on em, and virce versa.
So from now on, allways back up your healer/tanks as respektive roll, allways at end tell em how they did good. Never blame eachother for that other dps players will do for you… We minoritys need to stick togheter! So I say to all tanks, our front shield in battle, to our healers, our hearth and soul of a group! You did well, gg and wp.

Not in m+. In m+ tanks job is to make group as efficient as possible. Dps “helping” with pulls can really mess up tanks cooldown management and is generally just annoying.
