My ghoul randomly sets itself to passive, or defensive upon dismount, or just randomly in-combat. This is causing me massive grief in visions, pvp etc as the pet mode extends itself to ALL your pets, such as army of the dead ghouls spawned from both the ability itself and Apocalypse and also Magus spawns if you’re running the trait.
Suffice to say, as UH depends a lot on pet damage and utility, this is a major source of frustration. Sometimes, there’s so much going on that I don’t spot that all my ghouls etc are doing nothing until a few seconds after the fact. It’s hard to stay situationally aware when you’re in the thick of it and there’s enough stuff to manage as it is without having to constantly police your pet bar.
Anyone know if this a known issue and if there are any workarounds beyond being paranoid and ready at a seconds notice to adjust pet mode manually?

Which bit of that don’t you understand? I use no binds, or macros for pet control, other than the default petbar. The only ability I have bound is ghoul stun, which is just set to a keyboard bind.
Actually, my pet has been randomly attacking things in the world, or in M+ when i’m playing with my team. It’s set to passive and will randomly attack things I haven’t even targeted (when we’re not in combat).
I thought it was just some random bug or a miss click of mine, until it started happening more last night.
Talking of UH ghouls, a strong irritant Ive noticed with the All will serve talent. Since it gives you an additional minion that is a guardian. It does not despawn upon flying, and will -constantly- be dropping from your mount and rapidly respawning to ‘catch up’ with you.
The worst feeling I have when I go from pack to pack mounted and pet gets about 5 seconds stun every time I dismount and he cant even fart and resumes action only after that. When you press any ability from his bar it error message you that it cannot be used wile your pet is stunned. The weird thing is that hunter’s pets do not have this problem so what the for the love of god. But I understand this is caused by coded animation of the animation form the ground which is cool, iconic and has been since wrath. Even if you do not see it every time the code is still there(bug?). I have seen easy solution someone proposed please forgive me because I can not find the person that came up with it just wanted to note that it is not my idea. Just delete the animation when in combat just make it appear like hunter’s pets and start attacking asap and leave the animation outside combat. Functionality restored, iconic animation preserved. That might even fix issues posted above.
