UI after update

Hello,

Screenshot: i . imgur . com/WsQihq9.jpeg

So I just got the update and this is what I logged into. I disabled all addons. If I go to graphics settings and reset it, everything looks good but then I close it and it pops back to this messed up scaling again.

Ui scaling is disabled. The difference seems to be the render scale. As long as I keep it open, the render scale 100% = current resolution whereas if I close it, it seems to change that baseline and in turn rescales everything.

Like dude, for real? What is this? Just disable this render scaling crap.

Anyone has any idea how to solve this? Any help appreciated.

Adjusting the render scale does nothing - something just changes the baseline.

I’ve noticed this as well, and it’s annoying.
I got lucky my UI addons are updated and replace the messy parts, but yeah, the pre-patch broke…a lot.

What in the…

Question: Have you ever played it on a mac and copied the settings over to Windows? Because there are some special settings over there which could cause this sort of stuff… theoretically. It’s got to do with the notch.

Have you tried renaming the WTF folder where wow.exe is located?

I’m on a mac yes never copied anything. I have an external 4k monitor. I solved it with going into windowed mode, seems to be a bug but anyway, windowed mode works.

ElvUI will always be superior to any UI changes blizz throws at us

Try fiddling with the notch settings. That’s probably the source of this malarky.

I haven’t played WoW on the mac since the patch hit. Matter of fact I haven’t really been playing any WoW since the patch hit… it’s a pretty boring patch so far 'cause it’s just the new talent trees and my playstyle literally didn’t change at all.

Next week. cross fingers
