Hey was wondering what would the thoughts on if blizzard added a toggle or some form of way to revert the UI. As personally It does not appeal to me as a player. I get that there would probably be addons for it but it would be kind of nice to see it, as blizzard have already stated they want to add stuff for people who do not play with addons this could further that step. It is a minor step but yeah I would like to see opinions if any. It would be nice to see progression forwards but not also too much progression to the point of were the game looses its feel.

If you introduce a toggle you’re basically saying the new UI has failed before it’s officially released.
An addon is the best solution to this.

I hope they don’t add toggles. Having to support the original UI will only serve to hold them back. Aesthetically the new UI looks good and with the customization options present, you should be able to get it to work to your liking.
I am sure I saw an option that said classic in the options - not picked it myself, but may check it out next time I log on.
I have been able to replicate almost my setup as the edit mode highlights the various boxes and you can move them around - I still would like one more bar of 12 , but it has made me de clutter what I had and re think the ones I used to have on the right hand side - ok I am not doing dungeons/raids so not using those currently but for me a “casual” quest junkie it is doing the job so far

You can choose between “modern” and classic I believe
Essentially the option for modern and classic is nothing but a layout preset and not a modern UI or classic UI.
Having played around with the new UI in beta for a while I can say that putting it into the preset “classic” option is not worth it. For me, that messed up the placement of the cast bars so I couldn’t see them behind the action bars (the valor charges for dragonriding were half hidden too)
However, if you keep the modern preset you can play around with the settings of each action bar enough to make it look like the old UI.
The other problem I’ve found, which might just be a “me” thing is that they have increased the size of the mini map and at the moment it is throwing me off. You can’t resize it and it’s just wrong lol
The only thing I really like is that you can set a different layout for each char which could be handy for ones who use a lot of addons v ones who don’t

i mean they did have a toggle for old character models and new character models in wod and legion in a bit until they completely removed it. It’s better to move on than linger on nostalgic stuff. Like Garrosh once said:
Same. I tested it on the PTR and this is one of the things that definitely bugged me the most. It’s weird they won’t let us resize it.

CBA to spend hours to set my bars when im so used to current ones.

Honestly i play with Elvui atm once DF is out elvui is bye bye, the new ui is nice to see and almost the same immo.
There are already addons available now that change the UI to what it used to look like in classic, as in actual vanilla. I’d be surprised if addons that revert the UI to it’s pre-revamp state didn’t pop up within a few days after DF releases.
