Can anyone remember how to remove the chat window that labels itself VOICE for a newly created charater’s UI, please?
Is it something that goes away on its’ own after a certain amount of time…?
Apologies if this is already in the thread list; thanks for any assistance.
Do you have voice disabled in your battle.net account? When you log in to your account on the web and go to privacy settings you can disable it there which is where i have it disabled. Voice chat doesnt even work in WoW with that disabled, all options get greyed out (which will be why i never get those windows). That setting effects all Blizzard games so if you use it for any game don’t turn it off there.
My only other thought is are you in a guild or community and if so it might be that. Try opening the guild/community UI (default G) and select the guild/community on the left. (If your only in one it should be the default page anyway). There’s an icon across the top that looks like a headset, supposodly for the channels voice chat settings. Maybe you can do something there? (I can’t test as that’s one of the options greyed out to me).
Sorry, i really don’t know and i’m just firing ideas in the hope it may help!
That Voice Tab is related to Accessibility Settings. If you have some accessibility options enabled you may see that tab. (I cannot say if it is supposed to do that, just that it can)
Under Interface > Accessibility check to see if you have the option Speak for me in Voice Chat checked. If unchecked already, try check and uncheck again.
Beyond that, I recommend reporting it in game as a bug(support menu, submit bugo form) in case that tab is not supposed to be there/doing that.
Perfect… I shall remember that in future if - as @Ráevelyn alluded to me meaning (which I kind of did) - it happens on any other new characters I create.
