Please add the Ukrainian language to the game World of warcraft and Battle.net

I think it’s unlikely they’ll add any more language packs at this time. But there is no harm in asking ofc.

Have you seen the mod?

https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/wowukrainizer

It’s far from complete, but it’s a good start and you are more than welcome to help them.

Nah, less localization is better.

When we was little idiots, we were forced to learn English, German or French to play certain games. Helped quite a bit with learning other languages.

When dubbing and localization started to become more popular, you noticed the kids were having more trouble learning other languages.

Oh, I know I will get push back on this… but eh. :dracthyr_shrug:

Why do we not use the Google Translater in the WorldCraft ? Then we can all put words in OUR regulars and they see their regular ! 2024

Probably better than me TryFails !

Nah, that career path seems to be only for actors, dictators and/or geriatrics. I’m none of those.

God I hope not, I constantly get lost in translation with it :joy:

Lol… No…

Maybe you can bump your old topic instead of making new one every month.

Obviously people won’t learn languages they don’t use, but I don’t see a problem if you don’t need additional languages. Most of Britain and America only know English. What reason is there for them to learn something else?

You can make the case that it’s ā€œgenerally perhaps helpful in the futureā€ but that will not make you learn a language. You have to use it actively - it’s a skill, like riding a bike.

This is an awful idea. If you do that you will get some true insanity.

This is basically what happened with Black Myth: Wukong. Some ā€journalistā€œ decided to translate their posts from Chinese to English with Google Translate, and it got confused by an idiom, creating some pretty nasty language along the way. We don’t want WoW full of ā€œF the duck until explodedā€ (mistranslation of stir fried duck)

Quite the paradox, don’t you think?

thats how you practice your english, when u go and google something you want, theres higher chances there be answers in english rather your mother language.

I have a friend who plays all games in his native tongue and has difficulty understanding what guildies say when they refer to x thing ingame

No.

The only thing it means is there is a period of potential embarrassment over not being able to do what you’re trying to learn by doing, but this applies to any and all skills.

Sorry mate not enough people speak ukrainian language to warrant adding it to the game

Yes it is, asking for a localization to be added in a game in which everyone is speaking the same langauge on the same language he refuses to learn is quite the paradox.

Shouldn’t we all just start learning ukrainian for this guy so he can fully enjoy the game?

Btw I see this trend everywhere. Mainly ukrainians asking for their language to be added in many games on steam forums. It’s ridiculous.
