There is a huge problem right now with Ulduar loot that needs to be adressed in the next phase.
The idea was to make ulduar last longer as a raid and while I me and most other players are already bored of it we are still going to run it for Val anyr, HM loot drops.
However the loot tables are sooooooo badly designed that RNG can really make you run for weeks for a single item.
For example in our guild we have 17 HM Vezzax kills not a single Flare of the heavens drop, 8 Algalon kills not a single Comet’s trail drop.
With new phase bosses need either to drop more items of have a 25 man HM currency added and implement a vendor.
In addition to that being able to kill Yogg and Vezzax without having to do the previous bosses is also a nice addition and a time saved for guilds.
If no change happens it will be just endless miserable reclears of ulduar.
They’ve already stated about this that it’s tricky because killing certain bosses trigger things in the instance. You can read this as “it would require more work than one unpaid intern can manage so we ain’t gonna do it”
if they not nerf this s raid, noone gonna care about it, only that 5% of the playerbase who can clear it under 2hour, others, no so much, noone gonna do a raid after 6 months where almost all boss is rng s fest, loot is rng spells is rng, almost everyone want to thow up on ic where the boss not cast that s rune for 30s+ and after he do the 2 rune in the same time, like what
I assume people wanted all teleporters to be active, so they could pick and choose bosses. But Ulduar, being divided into siege area, antechamber, keeper area and descent was scripted in a way that required certain bosses to be killed in order for other bosses of a given area to spawn.
You need to kill Flame Leviathan to be able to engage at least some other bosses in Siege of Ulduar area (it’s linked to the whole conversation between mages and Brann that’s going on as you progress), so they could not add a skip to Colossal Forge without rescripting the mob spawns (and you just know they’d screw something up doing that).
Antechamber area is free to skip to - all bosses are spawned on entry.
Keppers area requires you to kill Kologarn for other bosses/mobs to spawn/be killable, so they did not add a skip to Shattered Walkway, Conservatory of Life or Spark of Imagination.
Descent into Madness bosses/trash spawning was previously linked to the door opening, which in turn only happened when all 4 keepers were dead. They relinked the door opening event to check for Kologarn instead.
It’s not rng when they reduced drop rate of certain items on purpose.
Entire wotlk classic is so much fiasco in everything that it just needs to be completely nuked and relaunched by someone more competent or simply forgotten and be allowed once a good game to rest in peace.
Then you need to find a better run that appreciates your effort and rewards you appropriately if you believe you should’ve been given more loot. That’s you a problem, not a drop rate problem.

The problem is we are 10 needing leather because rogue, feral, hunts, ret, war and because with that low drop rate.
And btw telling me the drop rate is not a problem while i haven’t seen once the neck agility from Vezaxx in 6 months is trolling.
EDIT : But you’re right, the drop rate is not the problem, the problem is 1 loot HM per boss.
There is not a problem at all with loot, only your terribly optimised raids. If you bring the same people every week, you will obtain plenty of gear. Bringing so many classes that need the same stuff, who are different week by week, results in little surprise you have obtained nothing. Any competent group of guild even have alts generating upto 5.2k to 5.3k GS now, because the loot is just so easy to come by.
Yeah, sure. 100% believe you. Not lying at all. You seem like a swell guy who’d never tell a single lie to make your point and you’re 100% stable. Definitely haven’t got an upgrade for 17 IDs because loot drops are broken and not because you’re in a guild that pugs half the raiders and swaps and changes people out every week, while only doing a single raid per week. Obviously a Blizzard problem your entire raid doesn’t have flare and nothing to do with anything else.
Currently sitting at 17 kills with 11 of them on HM. Not a single Flare drop for us either We’ve had the leather chest 7 times though, which was useful the first 3 times it dropped.
Also took 18 Thorim kills before he dropped Vulmir for the first time. Drops from 25 man bosses make it really not worth it to run Ulduar in P3, except for the offchance that Vezax starts dropping trinkets galore. and fragments being buffed to artificially keep Ulduar boss kill numbers high since most guilds will probably go in and do the 3 boss skiprun.
Devs will bang on their chests and say great job since 80% of the playerbase is still running Ulduar in P3 with it’s broken bosses and RNG fiesta.
