Ulduar nerf phase 3

Nerfed Ragefire Chasm would be great.
Also replace all random trash trops with ilvl 18 items

Ragefire Chasm is too hard for the classic community.

Some people may say that Ragfire Chasm isnt hard. But thats just their point of view while spamming 20 IDs of Ragefire Chasm per day with the same 4 people or in their well organized boost groups but if you join an avg. Ragefire Chasm 5-man group with a pug, you will face the truth: Ragefire Chasm is too hard and the loot too less for the effort you have to put in.

Those people stopped and more will follow next Phase while there is no benefit to keep Ragefire Chasm hard.
I also do not unverstand why people what to keep Ragefire Chasm hard.
If you want a challange just raid Hogger hm with 15 people.
If you want a challange just turn of your Ragefire Chasm weakaura pack
If you want a challange unblind your instant casts abd spell
But even the people who wants it to be hard do not do such challanges. You know why? Because its not about challanges. Its about not letting people have gear. They believe their swiped gold or RNG based loot Distribution system justifies it. Its greed. Its the Illusion of having done something of worth.

Easy dungeons benefits all player types besides those who say Ragefire Chasm is easy but only invite people with epic phrases.

Stop it. Who joins a 12-14m dungeon for only the few boss items which are needed?
I do not.
What a nightmare…

The gear is too hard to get. PUG-groups are too hard to get in.
Casual guilds will stop doing ulduar.
People have to join PUGs.
PUG-groups are too bad to deal with the mechanics.
If you are only able to clear the raid with +80 phrases, something is wrong if only 20% of top players are allowed to join the group to get these very few items.
This isn’t an assessment center for astronauts. This is WoW-Classic.

Nerfing ulduar also lowers the prices in GDKPs which reduces Blizzards RMT.
If leading and finding people gets eailier as you do not have to “only invite the top20%” this will result in more Ulduar-Raids and more Loot for every one.

Not nerfing ulduar benefits noone but those who like to spend 50sec more in a bossfight.

It also benefits PvPers as well as they do not have to que up on all PvE-Discords they know of of buying gold für GDKPs.

Yes. This would be great.

YES YEY YES   :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
My content isn’t raiding. Raiding is a chore I have to do with my DPS-classes to do not blame gear for loosing.

Don’t raid then.

Game design does not allow me to.

by the way, you will not hear moaning anyone tomorrow once the PvP-Gear is discounted. A huge joy for everyone. Noone says “get git” for those PvP-shoulders. In fact, no one cares. Only Tryhards in ulduar do so if gear is even more free. Why?

My guild is casual in the sense that we only raid two times a week, we don’t cherrypick our raiders and we let people play whatever they want to play. Had we all been a bunch of minmaxers maybe we would have been done by now but as it is we’re still on Algalon.

I am happy with the no-nerf. If we don’t get Algalon before next phase then I’ll want to continue fighting Algalon, much like how we continued fighting Sartharion 3 drakes in this phase in spite of it being a phase 1 boss. Had they nerfed Sartharion 3 drakes, what would have been the point? Free mount?

This.

Don’t ruin MY content just because you don’t want to do it. PVP was always a side game that only an absolute fool would take seriously anyway.

we’re disenchanting like 90% of the drops after 2+hours full clear, Mesirable raid.
Worst raid I’ve ever done in WoW.

Hard modes are harder than faceroll Naxx was that’s for sure. However every casual guild is now full of 232 gear and with addition of 245 gear from ToGC would take care on these HMs more easily. No need to nerf everything to LFR level or we would see death of Wrath Classic in 4 weeks, not 4 months (unless they release phase 4 before october).

More people did t5 when it got nerfed.
Faceroll naxx has been cleared by more people when raiding was easy. And what about easymode t6?
When t6 was easy noone stopped raiding.
What is this argument?
All statisics we can find say:
Easy raid = good for game
Hard raid = Not good for the game

Having 60sec less of a bossfight is not ruining the content.
If you want 60sec more of a bossfight dont use bloodlust and some other dps. Whats the point of it?

I also doubt that raiding is your content.
Collecting items is your content.
People will use skip and avoid all bosses which do not drop any items of value. Why arent people dooming this dragon and this fire golem anymore? Because loot is trash. If loot is bad people suddenly do not want to have “fun”.

“Oh boy. They nerfed big bang so much that you can survive it with 28k hp. Also boss dies 60sec faster Game is ruiiiined. Now we have to do toc hc without a wipe…”

Vs

“Omg. I ve been here for 3 hours wiping for 6 times on this boss and the people are talking about skipping it”

What experience is worse? Hmmm

Seems like a skill issue

Yes. Ulduar hardmode is too hard. Thats why this should be nerfed. Thats the topic

The exclusivity of the rewards are a big part of what makes it fun. To be blunt, bad players not getting them is making them more fun to obtain if you can swing it. baddies can go normal TOC and normal ulduar imo, that’s what lesser difficulties are for.

You are basically arguing that you are too bad for ulduar hardmodes so you would like them nerfed. I would rather they stay as they are so the gear can maintain the little bit of exclusivity it has left

I do not feel like its ok to only let the top20% player have such a fun.
I also want to remind what I have written before:

If “fun” is having something what I do not have, I guess nothing of value gets lost if ulduar is getting nerfed.
You can try to get the 272 cap for “fun” in this patch to show off but ulduar is outdated.

I feel it is ok. It gives the others something to aspire to also. It’s important to have goals in a game like this.

Unfortunately for you, blizzard does not read these forums and they’ve already said they’re not nerfing it.

If people clear it, they do not stop clearing it as clearing the raid is not the goal for most players.

People get bis-gear or close to bis and then they stop as their goal is archived.

Also, those who did not clear it so far get more motivated once ulduar is nerfed.

Lets check out retails raiding phase:
Veeeery hard raid. What did happen? People just stop trying. People did not get inspirted by the hardness of the raid and entered some ultra instinct mode to clear it. They just stopped.

  • Because there is no reason to let it pre-nerf since we cleaned it 20x
  • Because it’s an annoying raid
  • And at the end because peoples are forced to do this raid every weeks to keep their logs while it’s an annoying raid.
  • Because i don’t care about Ulduar, i hate this raid but my guild will force us to do for the 10% BIS, while they will not doing Anub25HC 50 try for the BIS 272 when ICC will release.

I played 12 years on Wotlk, i play on official server for warcraftlogs only, since nobody cares about achievements and funny old raid content.

Of course i don’t, who likes playing hardcore and getting 0 loots for months because 1 loot HM per boss, 0 drop and when it’s drop you lost the rand or because of loot priority list ?

The question is more, why do you want to keep this raid pre-nerf ?

On the contrary. I was so bored of easy Naxx that I skipped all 10ppls in last 2 months of phase 1 and started SoM 1 HC character. Others just ditched Wrath, because they were not impressed by easy Naxx at all.

So nowadays even more people are playing hardcore classic.
Does this mean ulduar is very easy as well?

PvE is about arm racing and not about challanges, killing hard bosses or fun.
You got dopamin if you get items.
You do not get dopamin if an NPC got killed.
Especially in wow classic.

Also:
naxx10 does not drop alot of bis-items.
So why does anyone did this in the first place? (Besides getting gear and logs to join the 25version)
And i am very sure, if the bis weapon is dropped in naxx10er you would still que up for it today.

Bored because Wotlk is made for raid logs only, so yes ofc if the raids is ez it’s boring.
At the inverse TBC and Classic are ez but many others things to do.

I am forced to run this terribad, boring yet mentally taxing raid to maintain my logs, to get as close to BiS as possible and most importnatly to maintain my spot in a raid for ToC and especially ICC. I hate those 3 hours I have to spend there every week just to watch Staff of Endless Wintwr, Flare of Heavens and Scale of Fates not drop yet another week. If I could just unsub now and still have a raid spot on a week of ICC release, I’d do it in a heartbeat. Alas, to do the content I actually wanna do in 6 months, I have to torture myself in ulduar for 3 hours each week. I feel immense hatred for the place, for stupid fire and bomb rng placement on firefighter, for random bugged aggro deaths on Steelbreaker P3, for another dumbo or worse still, myself falling asleep on Yogg P1 at midnight in a work week and triggering 3 clouds. And then I get another blue parse because I have trash 200 trinkets and 150 ms, 6 fps on my dying laptop and occasional freezes. And frankly hate the place so much I cant even be bothered to really try hard anyway. You are damn right I am not having fun. At this point WoW is a low-key torture session I put myself through every week for some nebulous, possible future fun.
Edit: The worst thing is, I kind of know deep down I don’t have it in me to keep doing this for another 6 months with another hour of YOU FACE JARAXXUS, EREDAR LORD OF THE BURNING LEGION and champions oneshotting your healers because of a botched AoE strat start on top of it. Or dummies dying to chasing spikes on Anub, losing you the chest YET ANOTHER WEEK. just like downies standing in void zones on KT in your 15th immortal attempt. God I hate this game, I should just spare myself the pain and quit. Fug.
