Ulduar nerf phase 3

It was recently announced in a Q and A that Ulduar won’t be nerfed with phase 3. I am a guild master and a raid leader for my guild. We have been clearing full 9/9 + alga for about 7-8 resets now and I just wanted to share that this is a bad call. All of our raiders are tired and burned out of Ulduar. At this point it is not even difficult, but simply annoying. It is long, requires a lot of coordination and focus (more than ToGC for sure). ToC has always been an alt phase for me - its a phase where you can catch up, prep for ICC and work on your alts. At the moment, it is impossible to pug 25 man (you can if you join weekly GDKPs or SR discord runs, but not through /4). Please nerf it now, so we can work on our alts and raid with pleasure.

You “work on your alts” in TOTC, its easy enough. Ulduar isnt needed next phase if you arent going for full bis.

Yeah, im not doing ulduar in P3. Ulduar has been around for too long.

if they dont nerf it , noone gonna do ulduar, its already 5m+ noone gonna care about it, noone gonna do a 2/3hour raid for 1 casino loot… buzzard is just … at this point, like holy f, if you dont want to nerf it under the gound, just nerf it like 10% hp/dmg , or nerf it like old wotlk, and put an npc there for who want to do the prenerf sate for + loot or something, but smoll indie cop dont have man power or cash to do such a thing, they really want to gate keep the mount or idk for the playerbase 5%

They had also talked about skips in Ulduar, like in Naxrammas TP to Saph and KTZ. So if they would enable you can teleport strait to Freya, kill Thorim and then TP to Yogg, without killing Vesax, that is what most group would like to have.

Nerfing Ulduar is unnessesary as 232 items will be acquired from 10ppl Ulduar and ToGC will have better loot thus group hunting for a few phase 2 BiS would be more powerfull while clearing Ulduar 25 anyway.

Some targeted nerfs to ulduar would probably do good to make it more accessible, mainly iron council 25 man and algalon 10 and 25 man. Something like 20% HP reduction to both fights and a 20% ish dmg reduction to Algalon should do the trick. And if you’re really feeling like nerfs a 10% across the board HP nerf.

Other than that it’s really simple Ulduar is too long for phase 3 a simple fix to this is to make it shorter and allow skips. This can easily be solved by making it so that the teleports to Antechamber,Mimiron and Yogg are available right from the beginning and removing most of the trash in the raid like for example leave only 1 pack and and big boy in front of Vezax, leave only one flower pack, one mixed pack and the duo patrol in Freya room and one giant and one elemental patrol to Hodir cavern.

And there you have it the raid is now a 1½ hour run even for somewhat casual groups and highly customizable to cater to the needs and desires of whatever group goes there.

No nerfs? Holy crap, they finally managed not to screw something up.

I know. Right? It’s crazy. No one will run Uldu if they nerf it with ICC release. Items are useless compared to fos/pos and how accessabile T9 gets.

Nerfed ulduar would be great.
Also replace all 238 loot with hardmode items

Ulduar is too hard for the classic community.

Some people may say that ulduar isnt hard. But thats just their point of view while raiding 20 IDs of ulduar with the same 18 people or in their well organized GDKP but if you join an avg. Ulduar 25 hm raid with a pug, you will face the truth: ulduar hm is too hard and the loot too less for the effort you have to put in.

Those people stopped and more will follow next Phase while there is no benefit to keep ulduar hard.
I also do not unverstand why people what to keep ulduar hard.
If you want a challange just raid ulduar hm with 15 people.
If you want a challange just turn of your ulduar weakaura pack
If you want a challange unblind your instant casts abd spell
But even the people who wants it to be hard do not do such challanges. You know why? Because its not about challanges. Its about not letting people have gear. They believe their swiped gold or RNG based loot Distribution system justifies it. Its greed. Its the Illusion of having done something of worth.

Easy raids benefits all player types besides those who say ulduar is easy but only invite people with epic phrases.

Stop it. Who joins a 2-4h raid for only the few hardmode items which are needed?
I do not.

As far as i know, blizz isnt balancing the game with pugs in mind. Nor should they.

This is another reason why joining a guild isnt such a bad thing.

we’re gonna see the same in ICC, when they introduce the buff in there. People will activate it, then complain its not hard enough:P

Surely some nerfs won´t make up for the burnout your precious raiders are feeling?!

I, for one, won´t go in there again, if it becomes a snoozefest like for instance nerfed T5 content and I´m sure there are lots of people with this mindset.

They do not. They did naxx. Had the fun of their life. They tried ulduar. They did not have and fun. They quit.

If I remeber correctly, they buffed the buffed from 5% to 30% each week.
I doubt that they will do the buff with +30% instantly. But for sure noone will turn it off.

I believe you are wrong. More people did t5 after it gor nerfed. People enjoyed the non prenerf state of t6 alot.

I also like the logic:
I do not do it when it gets easy

I am happy with the no-nerf, although I would like to see a source to back up OP’s claim.

This question is not really directed at you, but to anyone who holds this opinion … but why? Why do you want to nerf the content? For faster farming? If that is the case then you ought to reconsider why you play this game. Because it doesn’t sound like you do it for the fun of it.

How about a simple elevation that HM bosses should be only for people putting in the required effort? You want loot piñatas? Well 10ppl Ulduar will drop 232 gear, now this is the content with over the head rewards for players you mentioned.

Why do you want Ulduar to be nerfed? So it only takes 45 minutes to run? ToTGC is only a 30 minute raid, so you’re really asking for less than 2 hours of raid content per week?

Why? Why even bother playing at that point?
