Since the Patch 9.1.5 it is impossible to do the Quest, as it says “Target not in line of sight” when you click on the Fusion Core and the mainframe in the back of the ship looks like it would try to make the druid flap. To test if it’s something with AddOns I deactivated all of them and the issue stayed. I flew out of the zone and back again, nothing. And then I tried actually to reset it by putting the zone in the BFA Mode but this one didn’t work at all. It didn’t change to BFA Mode but some places were not there anymore (like the ship where the core is on).

Just deactivating them is insufficient as a litmus test. They need to be totally uninstalled. This is because the WoW client will still load them into menory, Deactivating them just tells WoW not to pass them any data, but they are still in memory.
Also bug reports are made from in-game, not on the forums.
Bugs are reported IN-GAME and not on the forums. Not on the EU forums nor on the US forums.
Instead of clicking the tiny button in the bottom right of the support screen, whats wrong with the BIG button in the top left, literally the first thing you see, that says “Send feedback or Submit a Bug”?
Here’s a nice video I made for someone else, but useful for you too. https://imgur.com/a/79j9Eoz
It is a very BADLY designed “support screen”, as the actual buttons look more like advertisement graphics and not buttons, so many people overlook them because of that.
Which is actually why I made the video. Its easier than trying to explain where the button is sometimes.
So I ran into this issue today and I discovered that the game seems to register you as ‘underneath’ a solid surface with the Fusion core being elevated over it, hence saying you’re out of sight or something like that anyway. I managed to find a workaround as a druid. Being in flight form and interacting with it while hovering slightly above standing height made me able to complete the casting. Although this lead to a problem that my character model was still invisible and due to my travel form still being active, I could fly while none of the gnomes spawned either. By dispelling my travel (flight) form, and rolling around for about 5-10 seconds, the ball finally rendered in and the gnomes started spawning… So, if you’re lucky, there IS a way to do the quest… at least as a druid… I could not find any higher elevated places for my non-flying form… Wouldn’t surprise me if Blizzard’s fix would be to drop in a solid object in front of the npc to ‘fix’ it
We’ve received multiple reports about this quest and on investigation we now consider it a known issue. If anyone is being stopped from progressing in the zone by this issue then please raise a ticket as suggested under the link :).
