Unable to connect to eu.battle.net

Hi,

This might be an ISP issue, but ever since this afternoon I can no longer connect to battle.net. I got thrown out (disconnected) from the game and the launcher keeps giving me connection errors.
I thought it was a temporary issue and didn’t think much of it. However, the issue is still there, now 6-7 hours later.

Other computers in the household cannot connect either, so it’s not an issue with my PC. I ran a traceroute to eu.battle.net, which seems to timeout at a certain node:

I’ve of course restarted the routers and network equipment and it seems everything else is working just fine.

I cannot browse to eu.battle.net either - not even on my phone when connected to the wireless network. If I disconnect and use 4G, I’m able to reach the URL so I am really thinking it might be my ISP.

Anyone else experiencing similar issues since today?

I have the same problem, and it’s as you said an ISP issue (Nextgentel Norway).

From their support site: “Noen av våre kunder har problemer med å benytte seg av nettportalen Blizzard. Feilsøk pågår.”

I also talked with them yesterday and they confirmed the issue. They had however no idea what was wrong, but they said they were working on a fix.

I’m connecting thru my mobile 4G now and that is working fine.

Issue seems to be resolved now.
