Hello,
I am experiencing an issue when trying to create a PTR access for my World of Warcraft account (WOW 1) to test “The War Within” path 11.1. Every time I attempt to create the PTR account, it instead creates a PTR Dragonflight account. As a result, I now have several PTR Dragonflight accounts (WOW 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, etc.) that I do not need or want.
Additionally, I am unable to delete inactive or unused accounts that I no longer need, and this is cluttering my account management. I would like to delete all the unnecessary PTR Dragonflight accounts and keep only my main World of Warcraft account (WOW 1) with “The War Within” active.
Could you please assist me in deleting the unused accounts and help ensure that I am able to create and maintain the correct PTR access for “The War Within”?
Thank you for your help.
Best regards,
A PTR account is a PTR account, I have one and I never needed to upgrade or replace it.
As for deleting PTR accounts you’ll have to make a ticket, it’s not something that can be done over the forums.

Huh, I don’t ever remember creating PTR account - but apparently it is a thing. Guess it’s been so long that I have forgotten. For some reason I have TWW beta account still visible in the list, though.
OP, what happens if you just download the client and log to one of the DF PTR accounts?
I don’t think they assist anymore with deleting PTR accounts D:
Edit: @OP Do ticket them and post back if they helped you tho D:
That must be a more recent change, most beta tests I have to ticket to get the old PTR accounts removed to make room.
Hi there Akantis,
If you’re determining this from just checking the account management pages, it is probably not accurate and you’ll instead want to check in the launcher directly.
As I recall there was an issue a few years back, but generally speaking you shouldn’t need to create new accounts for every PTR, but if it’s causing issues it should indeed be possible to get done through a support ticket.
