Unable To Link Mount To Chat From My Mount Collections

My main is unable to post a link from my mount collections. I was trying to post my Fel Fire Hawk Mount to guild chat and all I got was this.

All my other alts are able to post a link except my main.
I’ve done everything, I’ve reset my UI, disabled all my addons and followed the instructions in a blue post (https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/t/cannot-link-items-in-chat/1371116/2).
Nothing seems to work :disappointed:

I can confirm I’ve been having this same issue for years. Other folks can link their mounts just fine, but when I attempt it, it just comes out as a string of gibberish. It’s been a problem since at least Shadowlands, and it’s not related to any of my addons.

I am glad I am not the only one, but alas it doesn’t bode well for me reading that you’ve been suffering with this problem for years.
It’s only just happened since the patch 11.0 :woman_shrugging:t4:

Hey all,

If this issue has been happening on one character, it is most likely an issue with this character.

Can you please try the following:

  1. Make sure that the Make interactive option is enabled in the chat window
  2. Reset your interface
  3. Reset your in-game settings with the follow command: /console cvar_default

I’ve done everything you’ve suggested few days back, nothing worked :disappointed:
It is only my main character who is suffering this problem, all my other alts are fine :woman_shrugging:t4:
