Unable to login after trying to exit delve

Unusual issue, a friend and myself finished a tier 8 delve last night, we both took the npc to the entrance to exit.

On teleporting to the entrance, we was put in a room with two delve portals, presumably one which would be to enter and one to leave. Clicking either did nothing, couldn’t hearthstone / log out or exit the game normally, the timer would count down but keep you in the game.

We could however, interact with guild chat and each other in that small playing area so we wasn’t exactly disconnected.

Alt F4’d and was briefly able to see my characters at the character select screen but fail to log into the world and would disconnect at 80% every time, even if choosing an alt. Now, the character select screen shows no characters anymore, nor am i able to choose another realm. Just sits there spinning on retrieving character list for about 30 minutes now.

My characters on cata classic/classic wow are unaffected. Tried a fresh reinstall of the game but no dice.

Same issue yesterday for me and today it’s stuck on retrieving character list. Blizzard said ask the community but obviously there’s something serious happening.
