Unable to purchase WoW token even after 30 days of subscribed game time has elapsed

Hello, I Recently subscribed to world of warcraft classic on February and decided to renew my subscription with a WoW token that I would purchase from the auction house. But every time I try to do so I got an “Internal Auction Error”. I looked it up in the forums and saw that 30 days of game time should elapse before I could buy a wow token. Since I bought it on February I only get 29 days of game time instead if I had bought it on March I would have gotten 31 days. Since this seemed unfair, I made a ticket, and I was given an extension of game time of 2 days. I also made sure with the GM who gave me the extension that no problem would arise if I tried to purchase the token on the 31st day. But when I tried it, I get the same Internal auction error. I even reset my interface by deleting the folders and still got the same error. I submitted a ticket almost 24 hours before my subscription expires and haven’t gotten a reply until now after the subscription has expired. But the reply I got was meant to be sent to someone else or they just copy pasted it as they were calling some other name instead and talking about problems in selling wow token which was not what my ticket was about.

I made the same post on technical support but didn’t get any response.
I have been submitting and replying to my ticket for almost 2 weeks now and the issue is still not resolved. All the replies I get are asking me to reset my interface and I keep replying that I had done that multiple times I have even provided a screenshot of me trying to buy the Wow token without any addons. And now the subscription and the extension of game time given to me has run out. I even asked them to at least buy the wow token for me with the gold in my account if the bug can’t be fixed.

I hope that a GM would see this and help me out.

I thought that error was there for two reasons, a) there are no tokens on the AH or b) your addon is messing it up.

reset your UI by moving the WTF and Interface folders out of the right version of warcraft folder and delete the cache folder. Turning addons off is not the same thing. You can tell it works as it asks you to pick your region.

You can move them back later.

One last thing, GMs are not the people who post on the forums and asking here will not help you speed up your ticket or get them to help.

a) I have been trying to buy a wow token for 2-3 days now, so I don’t think it’s the issue of unavailability since I see the price change frequently.
b) I have mentioned that I had reset my interface multiple times in the ticket and in the post,

but I don’t know how that is being missed lol.
Sorry if it seemed rude, I’m just frustrated by the whole ordeal.

Ah I thought people with blizzard under their name would be a GM since they have been giving authoritative answers in some posts so I’m not sure.

Most people think resetting the interface is just turning off the addons which it isn’t, and removing the cache folder is an important part. If you don’t get asked about the region then it’s not a proper reset.

It’s not just the addons themselves but the removal of the WTF folder, which contains variables the game needs and removing the folder resets them too.

You should also get the intro movie.

yeah,i had deleted the interface, wtf and cache folders and was still getting the same error.

Resetting the WoW User Interface

Resetting your UI to default settings can resolve various display and interface issues. Before performing these steps, please temporarily uninstall any addon management software you are using. Addon managers will re-sync the data cleared by these steps.

  1. Completely exit World of Warcraft.
  2. Uninstall any addon managers to make sure they don’t re-add your removed addons.
  3. In the Blizzard Battle.net desktop application, click Options (the cogwheel next to Play button) and select Show in Explorer (Windows®) or Reveal in Finder (Mac®).
  4. Open the World of Warcraft® folder.
  5. Open the folder for the game version you’re troubleshooting (retail, classic_era, or classic)
  6. Rename the Cache, Interface, and WTF folders to CacheOld, InterfaceOld, and WTFOld.
  7. Re-launch World of Warcraft so the changes can take effect.

Advanced Troubleshooting

If you continue to have errors, an addon or macro may have changed a console variable. You can reset this by typing the following command into your in-game chat box and pressing enter. You may receive a permission error, but the command will still work.

/console cvar_default

Ah, I had done the reset to Ui default settings steps multiple times. One more thing I notice is that people say they are able to buy wow token from the in game/character selection screen, but I haven’t seen the option on my shop either. I think since I bought my first subscription on February which had only 29 days, the system must not be recognizing it as a full 30 days of game time completed before I can buy a wow token, even though I got an extension of game time.

Stupid question but did you delete the right ones? My Warcraft folder has 5 versions of the game in there so you need to delete the right version folders.

I have Classic, Classic Era, Classic Era PTR, Classic PTR and Retail, so you need to remove the right ones.

You didn’t answer if you got the movie and got asked about the region.

Yes, I went to classic and deleted the right one. Once I even used the explorer route mention in the article and they point to the right folder.

I just did it and got the movie, DID YOU?

yeas i got the movie starting with the blizzard logo

I just checked, and they are available though they are almost 16k gold.

yeah i get the same thing but when i press buy, I get an “internal auction error”

I take it you have check you meet all the criteria for buying one?

  • You cannot purchase a WoW Token for gold if you have a WoW Token that was purchased with real money on your account.
  • You cannot purchase a WoW Token unless you have spent real money to purchase and use at least 30 days of game time since 2017. The first paid month needs to have fully passed.

If you do then all you can do is tell them the reset did not work in the ticket and ask for it to be escalated.

yeas made sure all that all of that is true.
I have been going back and forth with different GMs each time in the ticket and they seem to be giving me the same replies ,it’s been going on for almost two weeks now, and they wait almost exactly 24 hours to give a reply lol. So I don’t know what else to do, my game time ran out and I have to wait another 24 hours now.
