Unable to sell transmog on AH

So i am using Auctionator, Oribos Exchange etc.
I post items with the suggested prices even so I cannot sell my transmog items.
I got the info about transmog that the price for my server is 4k for example and EU has a price of 5k so I post it for 4k and after a week I cannot sell things.
Am I doing something wrong or what?
Thanks for the tips,
Cheers,

tmogs sell too slowly, i have pieces that’s been waiting for more than month, tsm shows their daily sell rate so you can get a hint from that but don’t expect them to sell too fast, especially around this time. it also depends on your realm.

So what is a good source of revenue at the moment?

something rare or something pink pink sells like hot cakes

what do you mean pink?

i can’t think of anything other than boosting, even dragonflight herb/mining is kinda worthless

I get from where raids get the money aka boosting but i really do not get from where people get gold to pay for those boosts.

they use their credit cards… in either 3rd party websites or for buying token.

Usually vanilla sets like Jade set sells but, in general, transmog sells slowly.
A lazy way to make gold is having a hybrid class like Paladin, Monk or Druid and queue LFG when the bonus bag is available.

tmog market is 1/10 of what wowhead says

pink the colour on items sells fast

You’re just trying to sell something which isn’t in demand.

You’ll be surprised how few players play for Transmog. And even then, those players often prefer to grind it out themselves.

So unless it’s an extremely hard to collect piece, such as a rare BoE from an old Mythic Raid which is the only way to complete a set. You can be listing it for a long time.

The demand lies in Progression items. Such as Consumables or Gear for the current content patch. With the Region Wide AH, it might not seem like there is a big profit on consumables. But you’re usually shifting bulk units, rather than 1 or 2 items. So the profit line adds up.

Something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it.

It’s not a vending machine

Your mistake is assuming that the price that addons like Auctionatoor list the item is the price people are willing to pay for it. Auctionatoor shows the price sellers TRY to sell the item. If there is an item that is constantly bought by other players, then that is the price that item is worth, so it is safe to put that price. But if no one buys that item, it means the item is not worth the price listed on the addon. In fact, if no one wants to buy the item, then is worthless, no matter how much the seller think is worth.

So, now your options are to keep trying to sell the item at that price for months until someone buys it or reduce the price. Anyway, a transmog won’t sell fast. Also, keep in mind you will lose the deposit every time you try to sell the item and don’t find a buyer. So, ultimately, keeping the price and waiting more time to sell it could make you less revenue due to paying more deposits.

Unless you have crafting levelled there are minor sources of income you can turn to, and it depends on how much time you have to do so:

  • Do the dragonriding world quests on your main and multiple alts. I think we have 20 up in total throughout the week, so that is 6k gold per character.
  • get skinning and max out the baits main node. There is a, rare in the caverns that can be summoned with a bait once a day, which can drop a matetial (cobraskin) that currently still goes between 10-20k.
  • have an alchemist which you can transmute Dracothysts with.
  • Do the community feast once per week. The weekly bag you get from it can drop the embellishment called Alchemical Flavor Pocket which you can sell on the AH for a reasonable sum.
  • Do LFR for Shadowflame essences. Depends on when you are selling them they go for 7-10k gold a piece.

I am sure there are some additional ways of gaining gold I do not know of. This expansion you will have a harder time to earn gold overall, definitely require more effort compared to previous expansions.

EDIT: Transmog is a double-edged sword market to delve into, as it is incredibly server reliant, and it is a very slow moving market.
