I have slowly been transferring my characters over the years from Lightbringer server to Argent Dawn RP server. It is a process I am very familiar with and has always worked fine before. A few days ago I noticed the name of one of my last untransfered characters finally became available, and promptly purchased a character transfer token. However, upon attempting to use the token I get an error message that reads “there was a problem with your order, please try again.”
One strange thing I notice is Argent Dawn is not listed in the dropdown menu where you get to select the destination server. But if I type it in the ‘next’ button does become available, implying that the game recognizes it as a valid entry.
Furthermore, I did find a previous forum post dated 22/02/2022 where someone else had the same issue, and a Blizz blue post says the “team is aware and are working on a fix”
I am left with no other choice but to assume this is some kind of bug and it popped up again. Seeing as there have been a lot of issues with in-game character services as of late I assume this may be among them.
This a generic error, which could happen for a number of reason.
I just tried on my account, and didn’t have any issue to see Argent Dawn in the list. Could you try to make sure that you’re not trying to transfer a character that’s already on this realm please? Alternatively, make sure that you’re not connected to Argent Dawn when you initiate the transfer.
This appears to be a thread from 3 years ago about players being unable to transfer to RP realms. If it hadn’t been fixed since then, we would have seen threads and comments reporting this issue ever since.
Thank you! Yes, I think the issue was I was on Argent Dawn while attempting the transfer. As all characters are now grouped together in the character select screen I wasn’t aware I was linked to the server I was attempting to transfer to.
