Unable to zone in while an encounter is in progess

So I wait 15 minutes to do a dungeon, not a biggy, and then the dungeon popped and I was transported to Fuselight instead of Pandaria. I get a notice on screen saying 'Unable to zone in while an encounter is in progress '. I wait and keep trying and then… get kicked. And now I have to wait again.

I won’t bother with Pandaria then if this is going to happen.

Is short for ‘The group has pulled the boss already, so sit back and feel useless while they kill it and you do nothing but sit on your hands.’

Yes but then they kicked me… What’s the point. I could do nothing… So you can get kicked for not even being able to get to a dungeon and then you are penalised.

If I see someone join during a boss fight I always put the info on the instance chat “You can port in now” just to let the person know that the figth is over and they can hop in. I also sometimes experienced this from other people.

Sadly not a lot of people do or pay attention to what people do in a group and suddenly they see someone far away(because they just joined in or died and noone ressed) or not with group (because they couldn’t zone because of boss fight) and they kick them.

I was clicking the teleport to dungeon all the time and I was just returned to Fuselight and then finally I am removed from dungeon. I couldn’t get in.

Welcome to life, lots of things are not fair. We accept them and move on.

Well it happened again on my second go. I whispered one of the guys and he said to teleport using the green eye and I was able to get there. Sadly they were well into the dungeon and as I was moving to try and find them… remember I have never done a Pandaria dungeon they kicked me from the group. And now I have to wait again.

If you are on a vehicle etc for a quest or on a zeppelin/boat travelling to another location it will often not teleport you to the dungeon when you accept the queue. If for whatever reason you aren’t teleported the only way to get in is to dismount/wait until you get to the other end and then use the eye that you were told about.

Even if you are joining a dungeon mid way through it should just teleport you there so you have been very unlucky. :frowning:

I finally got to the dungeon and I guess I now know why. Its the final boss where he shuts the door and locks you out. I got to that point and I was too slow and didn’t realise he locked the door. My guess for some reason is that the group lost its DPS and they simply put me into the dungeon but I couldn’t get in. Pretty annoying.

Its the first time I have done a Pandaria dungeon. Very short I thought. Fun though.

LFR can do similar silly things, you join and they are in combat and you can’t teleport in.

Strange that it hasn’t happened up till now. What is more odd is going from an Outland dungeon straight to Pandaria. I did try a few Northrend dungeons but they take forever to pop on LFG on a random. Outland are much quicker. I like Outland dungeons except for the Timewalking thing in Hillsbrad… man is that boring.

You are also best doing higher level stuff on a lower level character cus it gets harder as you level. Right now I am really powerful in Pandaria dungeons but it will change as I level. Don’t really understand but hey.

By the way I did finish questing all the way to Silverpine and Sylvanas at the wall where she is killed. But at Level 80 I thought I better stop there. Scaling is crazy I have to say.
