I’ve been trying to merge my two b-net accounts into one so I have both my wow accounts on the same b-net account. Its possible to do, all you have to do is contact blizzard to get approved. Well… its been three weeks now and blizzard still hasnt answered. Its a bit of an odd thing to require someone to contact you while you’re ignoring us. I want to level my other chars but I want to be able to send over my heirlooms and have flying from the start.
How can I merge my two accounts without you guys actually answer my ticket?
You’ll need to wait for your ticket to be answered - there’s a long queue at the moment for various reasons. Make sure all the information is in the ticket and don’t cancel it and make a new one or you’ll go to the end of the queue.
That is absolutely ridiculous. I had a ticket up for over 2 weeks now because of a bug that prevents me from doing a portion of a game (Chromie’s deaths) and still no answer.
Blizzard seriously needs to sort out the ridiculous ticket times. Its gonna get even worse with a prepatch coming out soon introducing new bugs and what not. -_-
I don’t think this is a Blizzard thing, they have the same amount of staff they had a few months ago, they can only answer so many tickets and it’s people making not only one ticket but several to try and jump the queue.
I also think it’s people making ticket for stuff that Blizzard don’t help with.
Blizzard doesnt answer tickets at this point. There is probably like 1 intern and a million of tickets in front of him, so he basically given up in desperation, because there is no way he gets anything done due to the fact that by the time he sends one typical Blizz copy pasta, there are 10 new tickets and the copy pasta-ed guy gets angry about the low effort copy pasta, so he makes another ticket.
This is a really dumb way to look at it.
Just because they had the same amount of staff a few months ago, they should see that they are struggling with workload… makes sense to bring in outsource workers or employ more people to avoid this outcome.
Waiting 2-4 weeks for a reply for a simple request is stupid. Doesn’t matter if people are making a ticket that Blizzard can’t help with. They can simply just reply to an message saying so in a matter of minutes.
And you insult my way of looking at it? You can’t just train someone in a day to answer tickets. it will take many weeks to train someone. They can’t give them instant knowledge or put them in front of a computer and expect them to answer tickets on their first day.
You can always start people off from simple answers for the most common questions and filter through simple answers that most of the time can take 2 minutes for them to look at.
An example, I had a request about a refund and they said that I’ve used too much of the time before a refund could be issued. A response came back to me 3 days later, rather than a matter of hours. A simple ticket where the customer service can look into account and easily make the decision.
Additionally to this, depending on the scenario a newly recruited customer service agent could be used to look into tickets and try to get additional information where required. I’ve seen multiple people asking about Account Merges and waiting weeks to get a reply asking them for additional information. A simple job for a new recruit that would solve a high percentage of tickets being waited for no reason and shoved to the back of the queue again for another 2-3 weeks.
Thats… exactly what they do. Thats why the ticketing system will try and redirect you to wowhead or the self service options for the most common solutions.
The problem is, people IGNORE those, and insist on having a person tell them the exact same thing. Clogging up the ticket queue.
In all my time playing WoW, I’ve only needed an actual GM’s assistance 3 times. All the other problems were resolved via self-service or wowhead.
Once when I was stuck in Isle of Conquest, unable to move, and unable to leave. This was prior to the stuck char self service.
Once when a Glyph was stuck, and not even vanishing powder would erase it. It actually took them 3 days to fix, because they had to move my char off my account, onto the account of a specialist GM, for him to work his magic.
The final one I, prior to the “Report Player” function, I saw someone wallhacking in AV, to get to a position where they could attack us, but we couldn’t reach them. GM responded to this one in under a minute.
The reason why people ignore those is because that information isn’t valid. That is just them palming you off to the community. Instead of giving you the answer.
That’s not solving the ticket, just closing it because they don’t want to help with the issue and therefore causing more tickets for themselves due to what you’re saying as “people IGNORE those”.
This not what I’m talking about or anything related to what I had just said. But a valid point in the general conversation.
Added Since I saw the edit post:
The three mentions you had for GM help is completely valid, and as long as they had good dialogue with you about your issue I see no issue with it.
Unfortunately, that’s not the case as of present. What is happening is that we’re waiting for a response for weeks on end, to get a reply that most likely will be asking you another question to then have you wait another few weeks. OR, they close the ticket without a confirmation of issue completion from the user and you create a new ticket and wait multiple weeks as well. There is no dialogue. There is no estimation. Theres nothing but to blindlessly wait for a chance a GM looks at it at first glance and understand the issue.
My ticket has been open for 1 month and still no answer this is absurd i can wait for blizz to answer my ticket for 1 month would blizz wait me for 1 month to pay my monthly fee ?
Right there with you. currently at 32 days for my ticket and not even able to log in and play due to a locked account.
