Uncreatively Named Dalaran Community Thread

Just thought I’d open a thread so that people can talk about whatever they want regarding RP in Dalaran.

Feel free to talk about the community, their RP, any upcoming RP events that may be happening there at any particular time, etc.

Let’s hope this one does not get derailed.

I vote any irrelevant response should have the added response:

“(Insert name) Nope”

I just want a high-tier Sunreaver guild ;-;

Oooo… that would be tricky but interesting.

Disliked, anti heroes that could run the edges of society trying to be the good guys and do the city proud.

I’d get on board with that but my lucious grey beard could never stand being shortened to elf level.

It’s exactly why I love them. Clinging to the edges of respectability, trying their damnedest to secure a safe place in Dalaran… up to arcane shenanigans and secret missions for connected allies in Silvermoon… oh yes. :smiling_imp:

Arent Crimson Scripture sunreavers?

I have never heard of them before, I shall investigate…

Crimson Scripture are great. Took part in the Legion’s Legacy campaign with them and every one of them I interacted with was lovely.

I really liked Dalaran in the pre-patch where people were engaging with the scourge threat. It was kind of hectic, but the feeling of “stay inside or the gargoyles will snatch you or the frost wyrms might get you” was very fun.

One with a Silver Covenant opposite would be nice.
They don’t go out of their way to truly hamr each other, but a matter of undermining or petty actions.

But neither of them or a kirin tor guild inflicting or enforcing “rules”.

Enforcement, guard or much like guilds are all ultimately poisonous to each other and any community they come into contact with. Be it IC or OOC.

More variety, more mages, more fun, less rules and oppression of rp by enforcing controls.

I think I heard that those Stormwind City Guard Guilds are doing a pretty fun and good job at portraying Enforcement/Guards!

No OPness, No God-Emoting… Just trying to make everyone have fun!

Something like that could be fun in a city like Dalaran! Just Kirin’Tor guards trying their best to root out Warlocks, or Demons etc without god-emoting or forcing anyone into anything

Take your apostrophes and get out.

The mage gatherings are a good idea.
General sharing of lore is also wise.
Have a herbalist gathering to discuss remedies, teas, poisons and other things.
History talks.
The use of metals and how they can be imbued with various powers.
Dalaran is the home of nerds. Nerd out.

I will give you the harshest of treatments any Silver Covenant RPer can give you: the angy /frown every time you walk past.

Reminds me to find a good slot to put my talk on a few spells that never made it out of testing (but have no reason to not exist) like Khadgar’s Unlock that i’ve still not run. Probably a Tuesday sometime when i’m not backed up by a certain other thing i’ve posted recently.

Puts sunglasses with moustache on

Yeah, I heard of those The Crimson Scripture guys too, really cool bunch! They rescued my, uh, cat from a burning house.

Ahem.

There are a lot of reoccurring events in Dalaran, namely the Tuesday nights are a great opportunity as there are lectures taking place but also allows for more casual rp if you choose to do so.

Furthermore, I am hosting a bunch of events aimed mainly at mages but is open to anyone, you can find the thread for those here;

As for guilds, the only Sunreaver guild that is around is The Crimson Scripture at the moment and we are … semi-active?

There is also the Kirin Tor Intelligence guild for those that are interested in Kirin Tor RP that is currently recruiting!

I second this. We need the rivalry back.

…That and like, come on.

They went out of their way to assassinate each other’s agents in the Quel’delar questline, let alone the purge.

Gimmie dem mind games
