There seems to be a bit of visual inconsistency with the Stinging Swarm ability, used by the boss of The Dread Pit delve. Even though I run greatly outside of the indicated field I still get damaged…
Not suprised, this expansion is one bug after another, but not being able to finish a bountiful 8 delve bedcause blizz once again failed to test something is just so annoying.
I’d love to get a refund honestly, this is just one of a thousand issues. I am ofc combat locked the entire time Im in delve, amongst other problems.
Unless this is intended, in which case great work on the visual clues - they are s***t.
just did it on my BM Hunter - died twice to Stinging Swarm then figured that I would try to LOS it near the Explorers’ League Supplies - seemed to work ok - not sure how melee or people with no pets would manage though.
Yeah something is really wrong.I tried a tier 7 ( on a ret pala ilvl 575) and I thought I was safe too, cause I kept running but somehow that thing still damaged me.Couldn’t finish so I tried a 6…still same thing.I think the range for that ability is way bigger than it shows.
2 million damage per second for 6 seconds is very exaggerated, this at level 8, its possible to survive 2 waves with cd and pot, LOS also seems to work in some situations, but for all intents and purposes I think it is overtuned.
Basically what I did was get Brann as a healer and when he drops the potions around the map, I would wait until Stinging Swarm ability to pick up, since it stacks. If it’s intended, I don’t think the visual clues are s**tty, you’re just bad
I tried it with Bran as a healer too the first 2 times(I had my own potions too plus my healing abilities).Bran s potions dissapear after a while.
I dunno if its intended to hit you from so far away but if it is, I guess the only way to do it is overgearing it…
And its not about being bad.
Can confirm as BM hunter the range of stinging swarm is just longer than autoattack range which if you ask me is absolutely absurd and a terrible ability design
