I submitted a bug report, but I’ll post here as well just in case.
The 4p bonus of the Affliction Warlock tier set bonus from the Liberation of Undermine is bugged.
Very often, whether in raid or in M+, I will have a jackpot proc (whether via summon Darkglare or via a random proc), I will get my haste bonus, but I won’t have any Unstable Affliction (UA) applied to additional targets.
Sometimes I will only get 1 additional UA, sometimes 2, and sometimes - correctly - 3, despite the fact that I have available targets.
Sometimes I will get a proc without my main UA applied, and NO extra UAs will be applied. And sometimes, without my main UA applied, extra UAs WILL be applied.
There’s no reason or rhyme, it’s just completely random.
Some clarification or some hotfix would be very welcome.
Tier set is still bugged, application of extra UA doesn’t work most of the time. Either no extra UA is applied, or just 1, sometimes 2, and very rarely correctly 3.
Refreshing UAs with back to back procs almost never work.
I still don’t know if the tier set is supposed to help us shorten our set up by saving the UA cast, sometimes summon darkglare will apply UA on my only target, sometimes it won’t.
We can’t track the UA 50% damage amp, we can’t distinguish between our main UA and the ones from the tier set when we have several going on, so it’s hard to know which one we need to refresh sometimes.
It’s a mess, it doesn’t work, it’s very frustrating, the spec is losing A LOT of power because of this.
I know it’s a very complex tier set bonus effect, it has to calculate a lot of things, but it just doesn’t work.
I can confirm that it does not work as it should.
I get the following results on the training dummy:
On a forced jackpot with dark glare, unstable affliction is split on the next targets, but only does 50% of the damage and on a recast, the damage on the main target is reduced by another 50%.
With a random jackpot, the same thing happens, but the damage is increased by 50% on all targets.
Sometimes it is even possible to create a second instance of unstable affliction on the main target, for example if unstable affliction was castet new on the target right before dark glare.
edit: it is just dumb. because there is a pvp dummy nearby, the 4psetbonus thinks you are in a pvp fight and it applies the pvp-variant. -.-
I think it’s easy to assume that it “fully” works since it’s actually quite hard to keep track of.
Most of my issues occur in M+, also a lot in outdoor content (which doesn’t matter). Around 80% of my jackpot procs (whether via Darkglare or random ones) don’t apply 3 extra UAs when there are available targets.
The number of times where in big pulls, I get back to back procs, and I should have 10 UA rolling at the same time, and I only have 5/6, is so frustrating.
In raids, I’ve had those issues on trash, Vexie, Cauldron of Carnage (when bosses are in the middle), Rik Reverb and Gallywix. It doesn’t bug out as much.
More often than not it’s just 1 extra UA, rarely 2, sometimes none (especially when my main UA is not applied but not always), and sometimes 3.
the set is laughable in pvp, they didnt want to work with the code to allow multiple UAs in pvp and they just baked in the -60% damage pvp talent which allows to put 3 UA into the set, thats the reason i’ve seen such low ticks from these UAs, figured it out eventually, thats also the reason they nerfed +3 targets to +2 target to make it maximum 3 to not alterate pvp talent
they didnt want to put any work with this set and i doubt they will
