Undermine and Dungeons Low FPS Problem

Hey,
I have like 70-80fps in whole Undermine region with drops to 60fps.
Is this normal or is my CPU dying? (Every other game works fine but WoW)
Lately been getting 60-70fps in dungeons too…
Had easily 120-160fps before patch 11.1
Did some update broken the game performance once again or is it my side?

I have i5 13600KF, 32GB RAM and 4070Ti Super

You are not alone. Most of us have experienced this exaggerated drop in performance. My rig is 13700K, 32GB RAM and 4070Ti, and during world boss in Minahonda the FPS dropped to 30. Since patch 11.0.5, and especially since 11.0.7, the performance is awful even with the best of computers.

Yeah it really sucks… kills the fun in game. I hate choppy FPS and it was fine not too long ago… Bet they won’t fix it since it’s “blizzard” we talking about

There is no easy fix for a problem that is at the core of the game’s engine
If we’re lucky we might get a rework in a couple of expansions when Blizzard is forced to because the engine just can’t keep up anymore, not even on a 9800X3D.

Exactly. Thought of upgrading to X3D CPU but my friend has one and he struggling same as me. First thought it was something wrong with my PC but every other game works very well just as it used to.

I mean you are not wrong in wanting to upgrade to an X3D CPU, there is nothing better for WoW and most of gaming.

But as i said, even with a 9800X3D you will drop below 60 FPS in a raid.

Then again, what is the alternative? Playing with 30 or less FPS? Not for me.
I’m on a 5800X3D and it’s ok… obviously not good if you are used to playing at 144 FPS (capped refreshrate).
I drop to the 40s, worst case 30s so far in the new raid on HC.
I’d say that’s the bare minimum to be able to raid.

So a 7800X3D would be about 20-25% faster and the 9800X3D same, so about a 50% gain over mine.
I’ll be upgrading to the next series of Ryzen or maybe even the one after at the end of AM5 life.
Don’t want the hassle replacing my motherboard and removing my 4090 (you know the small problem with the melting cables  ).

So i’ll just wait a bit and build a new system.
