Undermine so much lost potentiale

I’ve spent most of the day playing the new patch, but there’s only about 2 hours of story content, and that’s it.

There’s so much untapped potential in this patch. When you start the story and enter the big city, you really get the feeling of being in a gangster/mob town—great music and an awesome vibe. But, despite that, you don’t actually feel like a gangster at all. Instead, we get the same recycled World Quests and events, and the rare mobs and treasure chests are all copy-pasted.

Why aren’t there any “Hitman” quests? They could use the MOP-style mechanics where you snipe people.

Where are the quests where you rob a bank and get chased by mobs?

Why aren’t there any drive-by quests where you shoot up a store and then drive off?

And why no game mode like Mario Kart?

Also, driving feels awful. The way your vehicle turns is so slow, it feels like my grandma is behind the wheel.

Delves are still boring—mobs have way too much HP, so you quit halfway out of sheer boredom. The bosses are fun, though.

No new profession content? Just four patterns—wow, super exciting.

And once again, Concentration feels like the worst stat Blizzard has ever made. When you get a new pattern, you’ll only earn gold on Rank 3 if you have Concentration, even if you just want to craft it for yourself.

Overall, the story was good, but the content left me bored after about 2 hours.

Yeah that’s my biggest gripe so far they could have leaned into the gangsta/gta stuff way more.

Yeah. Kinda messed up what we got.

We got the driving events.Thats just driving around to Events (WQS), boring as other WQs. Kill 10 mobs, drive to next location. Get a package , drive off.

The Trash event, got to 3x locations, Shovel trough trash, kill a few random mobs, and move on. you get nearly no rewards.

WQs, are just copy past, since WQ were created.

And thats it :S

It sounds to me you’d be better off playing GTA and Mario Kart.
Please don’t ask for that kind of horrible gameplay in WoW. Please.

Blizzard has been known for copying gamemode or styles from other games.

Also , so your find with the same copy past we always get?

I don’t want to turn WoW into GTA too, but for 1 patch it’s fun, spices things up a bit and why not go all in on it?

agree. its just for that one patch, and something new for the next

I think you explained everything how I felt in new patch, just for me story was kind of bad, because the writing got messed up with old formula of kill x number of npcs and whatever is similar to that design. This questing could be fine if they go into it more, for example when we got there at first and needed to kill some npcs that overthrown one goblin area (I forgot their name), they could design something more to it, not just 1 quest of kill x12 mobs and thats it, they should build upon that and to end up them chasing us, because we got into open and we made a mess there… Or we could have stayed low for whole story because we don’t want to make war or whatever. Everything seemed rushed out and unorganized. One goblin doesn’t want a war, the other one as a rogue wanted, but we ended up making a mess everywhere and overall everything got rushed, idk, just bad patch for me compared to what other MMOs are getting for expansion/patch for story, like GW2.

— WoW story is so bland with mixed up humor, that I think only blands the hollowness of real story and makes it look ‘‘funny’’ when, instead they could worked more on delivering good story —

Agree the thing about the two goblins, one say no war, the other one say, ill take care of that.

Meaning HE will see something cool, we wont.

and he is a rogue, so we shoulda have story with him how to deal with things, also we could shoulda get sneeky or whatever idk. It all feels disconnected in my opinion, very rushed out.

Other MMORPGs, sure.
Other game genres are sometimes used yes, but then they are 9 times out 10 nothing more than minigames. Not prime content that we play to go through a campaign. Not stuff we spent an entire season in/on.

For quests? Yes.
Because it’s not ‘always’ copy paste stuff. I think they change it up more than enough already.

Well, speaking for myself: I don’t want that because I don’t like it. I will most likely not be playing this season because they’ve gone too far with main content. That’s my issue with this. If it was side content, optional and all; fine. Cool.

Take Mechagon for instance. Like Undermine a very quirky and specific zone and definitely not to everyone’s liking. But it was a 2nd zone in a patch. Optional. The actual story played out in Nazjatar, which had issues of itself, but was more traditional at least.

If Undermine had been like that; I would not have an issue with it.

I hate it for exactly these reasons.

Because I play a good guy. I don’t want to do a hit on anyone, I don’t want to rob a bank because I have 5m gold in my own warbank, and I don’t want to shoot up some mom and pop store because I’m not a mommy killer.

Frankly, I don’t want to be in Undermine, I don’t fit in here, and I cannot understand why anyone is begging to be the antihero in a game that is designed to make us heroes.

Edit: I just hope that we leave this patch having made the place better than when we found it. I don’t want to walk away in 6 months and it’s the same cesspit it is today. Let me fix it so I will understand why I had to be here.

Blizzard are expert of making great zones that would be expansion worthy, wasting their potential by cramming them into a patch.

Just look at the emerald dream, argus, Ny’alotha for some recent examples.
