I have looked at the demo, but since im not big into pugging i havent actually tried the gameplay yet, just the tutorial. If i can get a group of friends to try it with, i’ll give it a test.
It is literally the same experience. But you dont understand the scale of things.
Let me give you an example. Do you remember when DF came out?
Remember the first weeks how many people were doing the Soup Event ? So many people you literally could not click the massive cauldron. IF the game did not instantly crash. And that was with sharding to the max… You would literally get the legendary reward in 30 secconds.
That is the ammount of people that play WoW.
Then if I were to compare it 1 month later… sure… there were people like you say… But the 10 or 20 people that were there did not manage to get Legendary reward in 15 minutes. Not even close.
So you say “there are people” thinking that what I mean by “dead” is “ZERO people play”. But that is not what I say.
What I say is: Compared to the total ammount of people, its but a small fraction of the total. Almost nobody comparatevely speaking does it.
Because to kill an elite WB in the OW zones you only need 5 people. Not more. But there used to be 1000 people the 1st week… Its quite a stark difference…
Indeed, the disagreement is “dead” versus “zero players” concept. It is undeniable that the first couple of weeks are packed with players, immense lag and unable to get to your target before it dies. However, even months later, the overworld may appear empty, there is no lag, but you (plural, not you specifically) still miss bosses and gatherring nodes and treasures on a regular basis.
I logged in today after a 3 month break, played for 20 minutes and just couldnt bring myself to repeat season 1 so logged out. Same **** different season.
Don’t know if the patch is good or bad but my feelings towards facing season 2 right now means a longer break is needed.
which new systems ? you mean dvelves to +11 for extra crests ? because thats the only “new” thing in endgame system
and yes kinda i guess ? majority if stuck farming +8s for champions gear to catch up cause they left their chars at around 620
opioid content that doesn’t even attract the falling asleep in queue demographic that is pvp players
TWW is the first time in a while i feel engaged in the story, direction is certainly better, scenarios they create are cool, like in ringing deeps when you traverse through ruins covered by mist and get attacked by those one eyed thingies, highlight in this patch for me is how they revealed ethereals.
Also xal’atath is very well animated and best villain since… dare i say arthas
Thing is about these threads you’ve always got the two types of players responding.
The hardcore with 40k achieves saying how everything in wow is wonderful all the time.
Then the players who just refuse to quit and unsub , dooming how wow sucks and has been for a long time. But just havent got the balls to just leave and play something else. Like if the game has been so bad for 5 years straight , why are you wasting more of your time ?
I wish it was dead so I could enjoy a good framerate in undermine
so. many. people.
Honestly, I did the campaign and I am really not interested to go there anymore. I somehow don’t even care about the Renown.
I like the goblin theme, but that’s all of it.
I am spending my time in Dornogal or Hallowfall farming mats.
I’m annoyed I have to wait another week to finish the thing.
What “endgame content” did they promise that isn’t there? I don’t necessarily like the new delves and I’m not entirely sure what’s going on in Kriegval’s Rest either, but so far they, at least, have been what I expected.
Yes. Mobile games showed the way, now it’s every where because ppl are very bad at not spending money on things like that.
My main grievance with these event type of things is that they’re undoable solo.
I don’t mean “I want to do this thing alone, or not at all” but rather “if there’s nobody else around I should still be able to complete it”. I have yet to see the best chest from Price Surging (and also, why is there a 200 completion difference between 2nd and 1st?). It’s amazing after all the Soup complaints in DF Blizzard decided this was the best way to go about it.
They prob dont have other things to do.
Some even claimed they only sub just to qq on forums (lol).
I mean it’s like a relationship you know if been so bad for 5 years straight just leave.
Same in game why cry about the game being not good and uptoo the standards you believe it should be and stay subbed.
That’s 899 euros you could have spent on other games or outings or food
Except for the missing zone meta achievement for cool Goblin engineering, the zone and season are fine.
But the lack of a meta achievement is a big miss, in my opinion, because Mechagon showcased the Gnomes’ engineering skills while you worked on the meta achievement for their cool mount.
I thought they were going to do something similar for Goblins because, ever since I was very young and started playing WoW, I’ve always seen Goblins and Gnomes trying to prove who is better at technology.
goblins are better because they are more numerous and operate all over the world while gnomes only have like half of Gnomeregan. So what greenlings can do good is inudtsry output.
Some are waiting for the lfr gallywix to be out for the story complete achievment and the option to skip the story quest on alts
This was never “endgame”. And always died after a week or two.
Endgame is Raids, M+, and Delves. And all 3 are very much alive.
yup and i know 3 of them
that elf.
that level 42.
and that monk who got level 80 after 2 years and when he got to 80 he started to complain about people posting with low level when he himself was level 10 posting for years
im not even kidding
OMG… and I thought I waste too much time in the forums.
But apparently there are people that ALSO waste money ! Incredible !

I did notice a quick campaign, though honestly I felt like the first “half” of the campaign was substantially bigger then what we normally get from a week campaign, I think this campaign could’ve been split in a few weeks, especially the first “half”, but they likely combined it until it could be told in 2 weeks to not timegate the story so heavily, or maybe to make sure that the flow of the story makes sense, not that you kill gallywix in the second week in the raid, but the questline leading up to the raid only being available in week 6.

Personally I never see the value of gearing in patch .1 and patch .2, .0 and .3 are usually where I care about actual content, this is how I keep myself from geting burnt out by seasonal power shifts

I think its more that the current patch doesn’t do a lot of things extra that the previous patch wasn’t already doing so idk what there is to talk about now that wasn’t there to talk about in S1.
Personally, while I enjoy the aesthetics of the zone, the outdoor content is just the same stuff we’ve seen for several expansions there. It feels like a goblin themed zerith mortis (except now with the car you can actually reach rares on time) in terms of gameplay loop
