Understanding how subscriptions work

So returning player here and wondering if the way subscriptions work has changed.

So I took one month subscription and then thought about moving to 6 months.

Now my subscription is not yet expired (still 2 weeks) but when I looked at changing my subscription it told me that it would bill me 65 immediately (so before the end of my 1 month). Normally billing should only happen when the new period starts.

Is this something new ? I ended up not subscribing at all and came back to the forum for advice.

Thanks it’s clear, very helpful. And no it wasn’t like this before at least all the way to SL.

So it means I shouldn’t change my sub, just cancel altogether and then have a new subscription after it expires.

Just stay at 1 month. You can take a break.

Depends, I believe the 6 and 12 months bills you immediately due the special “free” rewards.

If you want a non-recurring option I recommend this one:

Can only buy 2 months at once, does not qualify for special rewards.
