I’m trying to understand how this mount drops. Acording to wowhead, it drops on “High Tinker Mekkatorque”, which, afaik, this is a horde-only boss; which would mean the mount only drops for horde characters. Is this correct?!
This is false.
Once you reach that boss, you’ll relive the memories from the Horde’s point of view. Your Alliance toon will become a Horde character.
The mount in itself is a random drop upon defeating Mekkatorque. Meaning as soon as he falls, it will either pop on your screen and be placed in your bags, or nothing.

Alliance get to fight him to, about 4 or so bosses in you get a story twist where you participate in the raid as horde, and vice versa.
Yeah, my lovely Lightforged Draenei Holy Pally becomes a Tauren… oh the shame… I can’t concentrate on the fight as I feel the pull of the barbecue!

Ok… that is news to me. Is this available in LFR? Cause I’m out of the normal raiding circuit. So far I’ve killed King Rastakhan and this didn’t show up.
In the dungeon journal it says it’s available in LFR but since mounts normally aren’t I’m really not sure until it happens.
Mekkatorque is available in the next LFR coming out next week.
Yes, the next bit after Rastakhan is where you will swap faction and do Mekkatorque, Blockade and then Jaina Proudmoore. This wing opens on LFR next week so you will get to do it, just not yet.
Not sure if the mount will drop on the LFR version though. Personally I think it shouldn’t but that may be a controversial opinion

Accounding to the ingame adventure guide, the boss do drop the mount on LFR (just like the firehound from a legion LFR raid).
The boss will be in wing 3 (open next reset).
If its the same ilvl reguirement as wing 1 and 2, you need 350 to be able to queue for this.
Sidenote: This mount is somewhat special, as you dont ride it, but, get transformed into it, this means that if someone where to swarp body or take your apperence via some ingame toy (JC gem / mirror), the other can look like this robot.

I once transformed a whole hellfire raid (on archimonde) into bloody darkmoon rabbits, i am sure ppl had fun XD…“when the nature fight back against the demons”…lol!

I did join some random people in Elwyn Forest who took on the Dolphin druid aquatic form and then we all went around stormwind declaring ourselves as gods for being the most intelligent race. I don’t normally get involved in that sort of thing but it was quite funny, especially taking over the auction house

You turn into Horde when fighting him, if you are Alliance. I’m turning into a Troll druid with the worst mog ever. And I don’t even get to wear a robe 
.

Yeah, using that stuff on water forms are fun XD. (bonus point when your a hunter and use FD…lol!).
There is also this “feast of fish” or whatever its called, it transform whoever eat it into a fish, you can always be that person and bring that to the next raid, i am sure ppl will be like “wtf?” once all jump around like fish, gasping for air.
Yeah, it ticks off 2 of my preferences: it’s a mechanical mount, and it’s a mech ! 
I somewhat hate mech mounts, to noicy, still, got a army of alts ready to farm the mount for me, once wing 3 is open, so, gl getting it ^^.
Still, think the lightforge robot that cost 500k is cooler then this, but, as a collector, you want it all .

btw dropped it first time doing Mekk on normal
But we get their Berserking racial, too! That makes up for the pain, a little. 
I hate becoming human on our parts of the fight we have to go Ally, and to top it off I look like a guard from SW -.-
