Underwater Mounts need to be faster

The reason being:

  1. On average, they aren’t used, because they don’t feel worth the cast time.
  2. They aren’t used.
  3. Noone uses them.

Joking aside, the first one is the only argument needed.

I urge you to consider this seriously. There is no need to make them more attractive in other ways. Make the cast worth it even for short distances.

My suggestion would be to make them as fast as a grounded mount or as fast as the druid swim form with the Wild Charge buff (200%).

Regards.

I think they should allow the underwater mounts used everywhere, any time.

Totally Agree with that ad this moment Water mounts are more then useless. They are not even worth the byte my pc uses to have them

Yep, the speed is utter crap. They need to be faster, even if it’s a skill to be bought from a specialist trainer.

The Underlight Angler: Fish Form & Druid Aquatic Form are the fastest swim speeds attainable in the game as far as I know. This is a good thing.
The Anglers Fishing Raft (Toy from The Anglers) is the fastest surface water transport [afaik]. This is also a good thing.
I agree that the Underwater mounts should at least be as fast as a ground mount, but this does break immersion (the sense of being underwater) which I think is why Blizzard keeps them slower.
The Inkscale Deepseeker is gorgeous. I wish it could fly in the air elsewhere in Azeroth not just in Nazjatar.

But it is not as fabulous as … Fabious

Did someone say pathfinder?!

I use them.

Sure they are slow, but they are faster than swimming without. For example, on mechagon island there are chests underwater. If I go into water and start mounting underwater mount and someone goes to water right at the moment I start casting the mount, I will reach the chest earlier than the other person and get out of the water much earlier even if I did have to recast the mount after picking chest.

Swimming is slow. So the speed that mount gives you IS worth it, if you can be arsed to press the button and mount.

Can I also vote in optionally using the stag/cheetah form underwater too?
I hated it since they changed it to be unusuable in water, broke my immersion since.

That’s why I wrote “on average”.

In a World wehre everyone shares everything , its not a Valid argument.

I disagree with you only on this. I am using an underwater mount afterall. It is the same principle as using a native land animal as a mount on ground as well as using a flying animal as a mount in the sky. The slower swimming speed still applies in combat, which should be important to note.

Why would they.

The point wasnt about chest not being shared. It was simply that I will get the trip down done much faster than the other one who wasnt using the mount.

They should add underwater saddle or something!

I am using my angler artifact instead of mount

i use them every time
a) my character doesn’t have water walking
b) i remember that they exist

I looked at that Achievement, briefly, but does it need to be done for every character? I was entertained by the Ranch quest to get the farm, but I’m not doing that on every character either.

I am not sure but yeah…
I bet that you have to unlock it and farm artifact power from scratch. Getting underwater ‘mount’ should be a reasonable farm compared to unlocking all perks
