Really? I find the “move slowly on the seabed to the bubble or you drown” incredibly tedious and boring.
I would much rather swim quickly in a 3D space than do any of the underwater delves. If you don’t play zoomed out 2 KMs away from your character, you will hardly experience any positioning issues.
Ground targeted abilities seemed to be hard to use underwater. Now picturing raid or entire content trying to use ground targeted abilities in underwater. Would be annoying even though I do like the concept of vast ocean and the little we have experimented with underwater zones so far. Game class mechanics like ground targeted abilities become clunky to use underwater still. But maybe they can address that somehow unless already have, its been awhile since val’sharah.

In general players do not like stages that make controls harder.
The Water Temple isn’t popular among Zelda fans either.
Icy stages where characters skid and do not stop normally are also disliked.
Races in rain are disliked for people who play NFS-type race games.
And even here in WoW people hate when they cannot use their favourite means of transportation effectively.

I am against water combat general. There are some MMOs in which it is average. But in WoW it is just bad. A big no from me.

This may be the most niche opinion in the whole of WoW history. I love delves and don’t mind the underwater ones but no way would I describe them as “superb”!
If you keep knocking on enough doors, eventually the devil’s going to answer.
