Ungoro Madness Buff

So I spent about an hour doing this event, and despite most of the people whining about what a waste of time it was, I generally did not mind it. I do however have a problem with the way the buff works, and what I believe is a disconnect between the info, or lack thereof that blizzard GMs are given compared to players reasonable epectations. So lets start with the buff as described in the game:

The item reads:
Use: Throw at another player to grant both them and you a random Adaptation.

The buff reads:
Adapation
(Lists the adaption currently active here)
Disabled in instances and pvp

I had 22 stacks of the buff on me. Now I did random heroics, and a mythic BoDa raid and this buff was inactive for all of that, however the buff still remained on me so I could use it when I get out of the instance. This is completely consistent with what the tooltip says.

However, I ran a timewalking dungeon and the buff disappeared despite it saying it had 2 days left. So I figured this was most likely some kind of bug and I submitted a ticket. The response I got was very disappointing:

Greetings ,

My name is GM xxx and I want to thank you so much for waiting on me, I am going to help you today^^

From your ticket I see that you had your Dino Mojo buff stucks removed. This is actually intended, as you can read in this page "These have some powerful effects which stack, although they are disabled in instances and PvP: Dino MojoThe dinosaurs drop “” (https://www.wowhead.com/news=261293/ungoro-madness-micro-holiday-now-live-eu-us).

There is nothing we can do to prevent that and we can’t give you the buffs back:(
I really hope that you spend a wonderful rest of the day despite this.

So first off I find it a bit funny that a Blizzard GM links me to a wowhead post as proof that something is intended. But regardless of that, I assume that this GM read the word “disabled” and said “ok this is proof that it is intended for the buff to be removed if you head into instances”

This is absolutely not the case, otherwise I would have lost the buff doing my daily heroics, or my raid. But I didn’t, this is some kind of bug related to timewalking dungeons. I have no clue what kind of communication happens between the game devs and the random GM that answers my question in game, but it seems to be lacking. I find it extremely hard to believe that the development team made the decision to make players spend a decent block of their time to get a buff that lasts 3 days and persists through death, and don’t bother to tell you “Hey btw during these 3 days you are not allowed to do any pvp or enter any instance or else you will lose it”

I just dont believe that they are that dumb, and it kind of upsets me that this GM either feels that they are, or that I am and I just dont have any clue what I am talking about. Really sad.
