Hey all my Unholy dk has just hit 120 in hearing her up with benthic and also doing wq, around the place to get her rings trinkets etc.
I’m using the addon pawn and have found it really useful for telling me which piece is an upgrade etc.
But I’m worried that my character hasn’t got enough haste she’s currently on 10% and I can’t seem go get anymore I did have some rings that gave her 13% haste but they were 310 and pawn says the 380’s I just got are an upgraded regardless of them removing haste.
Should I ignore pawn and get as much haste as possible or take its advice? It’s never done me wrong before and don’t think it would now I’m just a little worried I’m using the wrong stats.
Pawn isn’t too useful unless you regularly update your own stat weights. Unholy DK haste benefits are highly dependent on the rest of the gear. For example, I have so much haste that crit is starting to sim slightly higher than haste for me. Pawn doesn’t know these things.
Furthermore, haste isn’t MUCH better than crit/versa, only slightly. Very often, a piece without haste but much higher ilvl, will be an upgrade nontheless, and pawn will misestimate it.
I suggest using raidbots.com to sim your stat weights. It will give you a pawn string and you can import it into pawn. Do it often, every time you get a new piece of gear, your stat weights will change.
Haste, no real cap on it. Crit is currently competing for many, influenced by the benthic crit boots.
Pawn is not worth using, look into the raidbots sim link above, that is currently the best way to determine what gear to use. And finally, here is the current best dk guide for unholy. I also cannot recommend joining the acherus discord enough.
And it came back with this I’ve also copied the string and will import it in to pawn. I see what you mean by crit, vers and haste being of similar weight.
It’ll change when you swap in a new item, so you’ll need to run another sim to get the new stat weights. It’s honestly far easier to just run topgear sims.
Far as I am aware (and what I’ve been doing) you just stack as much haste as you can, gems, enchants, my unholy has two trinkets that have a haste buff which I use in conjunction with Unholy Frenzy usually giving me a solid burst right off the bat
