Unholy DK still needs more love from the devs

Took a look at the logs.

The 100th Unholy DK on Heroic Fyrakk is below 200k dps. (199k)

The 100th Havoc Demon hunter is at 239k dps

The top 1 Unholy dk is at 245k dps.

The top 1 Havoc DH is at 280k

If any one says “Well that is heroic logs, who cares”

There are no Logs for Unholy on Fyrakk Mythic, they are just that bad.

Please blizzard, I appreciate all the buffs so far, But a lot more is needed to make the class i enjoy good and not shunned by the community.

Took a look at a few other classes and it does seem like a lot of classes are in the same boat as Unholy.

Maybe it’s more of a Nerf Hunter, DH, Mage, Warlock instead of buffing the weak classes.

100th fdk is at 195
100th mm is at 190k
100th survival is at 194k
top fire mage is at 235k

rogue is similar to dh and fwarrior is close

We all know they love Fire mages. I don’t really recall last time when after a buff, a class went from almost bottom of the charts to being in top 3. And when I’m saying buff, I’m not talking about reworks, just pure tuning. But meh, alongside with dhs, fire mages are also competing for the title of “biggest whiners of wow”

Unholy did get looked at last time, pitiful though it was. Frost DK however got it’s usual level of absolute disdain, mixed in with a hearty guffaw and loud “frost dk? bwahahahaha… Oh you frost players are so cute… Now go play Unholy and stop bothering us with Death Knight requests, or even better… roll a rogue.”

DK in general. I alt a DK and all of the specs have this annoying thing you have to stand in your DnD to gain benefits or be able to do damage. It’s giga bad design.

Although I’m more of a frost enjoyer I think more than buff to the spec or nerfs to other specs, Unholy need some kind of rework; last time I played Unholy in a somewhat seriously was in Shadowlands and personally felt terrible to play.
I messed around with it in season 2 (heroic only) and I don’t think it changed too much since then.

Unholy needs some work, but this kind of comparison doesn’t really say anything.

And honestly, the difference is frankly not that big.

The problems with unholy are not that.

One of the main problems is that like ret pally, there is no build that is versatile in damage, in other words, you either go full aoe or full st.

By going full aoe you lose between 15 and 20% of your st damage. This is TOO significant.

Ret has it even worse, it’s like 20 to 25%.

They are both bad compared to others.

They need to rework DK as a whole
