Unholy / frost defile DND change

Could we make this spell like consecration on ret?
Festering strike/obliterate should drop one on the ground where you stand, thematically and mechanically it’s perfect for a dps class that relies on it for AOE.

It can move
No rune cost
Better uptime
Lose a button from rotation (needed in unholy AOE build up)

Currently AOE is kinda odd for unholy you are forced to spam scourge strike to not waste the defile and almost ignore RP.
Change to above and it will flow so much better for both specs

For blood id leave it as is as it works better for them to place it.

+1. Most annoying skill to hit as frost

currently its bugged, even if you leave your dnd/defile the buff remaining on you even the 5% haste (if talented), and if your re-enter the buff refreshes so even after dnd on ground ends you still have the aoe etc

Ah not noticed this?
I know if you unholy you can use rider DnD will count as yours for AoE are you sure it’s not this?

yup, i play san lay. But just tested it recently on dummies if its not just a visual bug, It works like this since prepatch.

Same with Apocalypse if you using it with only 1 wound on target it will act as if there were 4 wounds. (4x festering wound dmg pop) and summon 4 minions and grants 4 stack of festermight aswell

Could be cool though I’d have some modifications to Festering strike to work more like Blade Of Justice too. So buff it quite a bit, give it a flat amount of wounds, small relevant CD around the 5-15 seconds, and then great more talents that would play into this, like a cd reset, chance for empowered procs of some sorts, cleaving option etc.
