Unholy noob - persistent damage?

I’m fairly new to the whole DK class and decided to stick with Unholy and so far I’m really having fun, I love the mechanics and the pets.
The one thing I still don’t quite understand is how to deal constant, reliable damage. Because it feels like the damage is great once I pull all my CDs but lacks a little if I just spam Scourge Strike, keep Festering Wounds & Virulent Plague up and spend with Death Coil/Epidemic.
45s CDs are just a little too long for a M+ trash pack… I don’t find any info in the guides about this because everywhere it tells you to pull all CDs. Whats your way to deal with this?

crying in a corner for 8+ years copeing and seething.

no really, we hardly get any real attention, weve needed a deep rework of all our core systems ever since the end of Legion, but unlike classes like monk that has one bad patch and gets immideate rework were used to it by now.

angry memes aside its how the design is my friend. its not a mistake.

UH DK relies quite a bit on larger pulls, in order to benefit of the quadratic effect of Epidemic, uncapped AoE etc.

There are ways to optimise your resources a bit, making sure you don’t overcap runes, RP or wounds, make sure you weave in-between all of those. Use all your CDs all the time, subject to where you are in the dungeon route etc.

Generally that’s DKs though, do sub tank damage without burst, top the meters with them.

Atm frost performs better over UH in most cases too so keep that in mind.

I’m levelling and gearing with BDK, I sense its about being smooth with your use of CD’s and weaving in trinkets

DK always did do better damage on large pulls and benefits from little or no rest between them

good fun though
