Uninstalling WoW is like trying to deal with a virus

I have moved WoW to a portable SSD and I am trying to find the option to uninstall WoW (retail and classic (to which classic is trying to force wotlk on me) from my PC

This should seemingly be an easy thing to do but there is no option to do it in Battle.net

Can someone talk me through (not just manually deleting the folders) so battle.net doesn’t try to keep forcing unnecessary updates on me

go into controlpanel and uninstall it there

Won’t battlenet just keep trying to reinstall the game?

Edit: It says game requires uninstallation through the Battle.net desktop app…

  1. Open the Battle.net Application
  2. Navigate to the game that you want to uninstall
  3. Click the Options button above the news widget
  4. Select Show in Explorer (show in Finder for Mac)
  5. Delete the game folder
  6. Reinstall the game using the Battle.net application.

The above doesnt work, wtfs a news widget??

I don’t get why this isn’t just a clearly visible option …

I don’t have Battle.net installed at the moment but from memory, to uninstall WoW:

  1. Open Battle.net Desktop App

  2. Select the game version you want to uninstall (as if you were selecting to play it).

  3. Click the cog wheel on the right side of the play button and select uninstall.

Repeat steps 2-3 for each version of the game you have installed (Retail, Classic etc).

Telling Batlle.net app that your install folder is at another location:

  1. Go to settings in the desktop app.

  2. Select Games in the settings menu (i think it’s games) there should be an option to “Find game location” or “install location” or similar.

  3. Click that option and set it at the folder on your SSD.

Hopefully that helps.

Thank you.
Most of the problem was even though I had redirected wow to my SSD it was still trying to update the version on the pc and then it doesnt give you the option to unistall (when its trying to do an update…)
