40 year olds are millenials. Please don’t ruin the boomer term.
Honestly, I just don’t get Blizzard’s logic here. If the Legion Bear and Feral forms are considered “skill achievements” that only those who earned them back then should keep, then the Warlock’s Green Fire quest should’ve been treated the same way, right? Yet anyone can go and get it today with no problem.
A lot of people never had the chance to earn those Druid forms simply because they weren’t old enough or didn’t have access to play WoW at the time. It’s not that they lacked skill — they just couldn’t play. And now, years later, new players and Druid mains who love the class are punished for circumstances beyond their control.
What makes it worse is that very few active players still have those appearances, since most who earned them back in Legion don’t even play anymore. And yet there’s so much outrage over a temporary bug that let others try them out. It feels like Blizzard is protecting “exclusivity” more than encouraging the community to enjoy old content.
Let’s be real: those appearances, just like Arthas’s mount, are one of the main selling points when people trade accounts. And conveniently, those defending the exclusivity are often the ones who benefit from that “rarity.”
I’m not mad that Blizzard is fixing the bug — I’m mad about the decision to keep locking others out of something so iconic. Legion Remix showed how much people still love that era, and decisions like this just kill that passion.
Well. Why should we have something nice ? Kinda sad about it ngl. Hope you guys at Blizz somewhere find something close to a heart and at least bring back the Tower.
I am all for bringing stuff back - if absolutely everything that was made unobtainable, becomes obtainable again. Picking just a few things to add back is not cool, and makes no sense. They have to add back everything, if they start doing that.
I own very little of the stuff that is no longer obtainable, but it doesn’t bother me. I wasn’t there, or I didn’t do it. I do however think that this is a case of all or nothing if they start bringing stuff back.
I know this has been debated a lot, but I genuinely think it’s time Blizzard reconsiders bringing back the Mage Tower appearances. And maybe on top of that, add some additional new ones. So even the players, that already did the challenge back in legion have something completly new.
Let’s be real: the Mage Tower wasn’t just about flashy weapons or forms. It was a real test of class knowledge and individual skill. You didn’t need a raid group, just your brain, your reflexes, and your class toolkit. That kind of solo challenge is rare in WoW, and it deserves to be preserved—not locked away forever.
A lot of newer players (or returning ones) never had a fair shot at these appearances, and others who did play during Legion might’ve missed out on certain specs or alts. Letting people earn them again—either through a modernized version of the Mage Tower or a Timewalking version—would give them meaningful goals. And it wouldn’t cheapen the original rewards if Blizzard makes it comparably difficult (it really wasnt that hard after Antorus).
Also, it’s a great way to reuse existing content in a smart, rewarding way. Players want difficult solo content. Why not give them one of the best versions WoW has ever had?
At the end of the day, WoW is at its best when it rewards mastery. The Mage Tower did that perfectly. Bringing it back, with all the old rewards and possibly new ones as addition, would be a huge win for everyone.
So the most wanted druid forms unintended was given to all druid players.
How can that even happend?
“Unintended”
Good mind game Blizzard…
Let everyone just get em now, hell even let it be open for all future druids. Any forms should never have been removed in the first place.
The snowflakes crying over it, can keep the exclusive weapon attach to it.
So, the bear or feral shapeshift is a skill test? All right, are you saying that people with certain motor difficulties or disabilities don’t have the right to them?
You put back mounts that was “hard to get”, but these forms are different?? i dont see the logic…
let us get these awesome forms, either by opening mage tower or some other way, we been wanting these for years
i was so happy when i saw i had unlocked these somehow, but that changed fast when i saw the post. disappointment hit hard man
Please fix the lag, phasing issues and bugs that make the game unplayable first, then skin the druids after.
While I get the issue of the “bug” specifically being a problem, I think its really unfortunate given people have been crying out for the Mage Tower artefact appearances prior to Legion Remix being announced, and even after, myself included. If its ok, I have a few points or like things to comment about it if you will indulge me.

Firstly, I understand people talking about the “prestige” of the time gated skins from back then, genuinely I do, but Seasonal AOTC mount attainment was also time-gated, and we have the violet spellwing back via remix no problem - and the game survived and the world continues to spin. There’s also additional “previously retired” items like transmogs that have also been decided to have come back to the game via remix, and same thing. I don’t really understand the metric difference in determining that effort involved towards AOTC mounts or hard challenges that give transmogs are ok, but class challenges from mage tower are not eligible. its a little muddy of a precedent which is kind of cherry picked a bit in terms of what is eligible and what is not. Thats not even taking into account examples of the mounts or transmogs in game that people farm endlessly, across loads of alts, for low drop rate chances - and then in remix you can just buy them, its not quite the same, but it is in some respects at the same time.

Again I get that the skins are seen as prestigious, but 10 years later could we not rethink the whole narrative of decade old pixels and still retain the privilege of them by having them obtainable via folks doing the challenges via an evergreen mage tower. A skin gained via still having to complete the challenges would and should still be viewed in the same lens of prestigious. Speaking more personally - I started playing wow in the pandemic, and have loved it since, I started messily playing as mage, getting my bearings, and eventually made my way to druid as a main, and I worked my butt off to get the fel bear via the current mage towers guardian challenge, I would love nothing more than to prove myself in mage tower in the feral challenge for the skins I love, I am not asking for a “handout” or to just get the skins for “free”. No need to make it a handout, I am more than happy to work for the skin if only they became an option again.

There’s also an element of completionism for a lot of players, myself included, and like feeling at one with your class - and unfortunately, at least particularly in the case of druids, mastering your class by collecting as many of the forms as possible is not a possibility in the current standing of the game. Which is a shame. I applaud those who have their skins from a decade ago, they are gorgeous skins, but why withhold them from a newer/next generation of players who continue to invest in the game and keep the servers going. We’re all here for our love of the game.
Legion Remix has the potential to not just further cement players love of the expansion further, but also to showcase all of the incredible story and content that came from the expansion for those who had no similar experience of experiencing anything Legion as “current content” - its really unfortunate that the bug happened, but hopefully there might be a serious reconsideration of the status of the Mage Tower, and its original rewards from it - and maybe ill just keep myself hopeful, particularly maybe for the latter stages of Legion Remix with its “and more” listed for Legionfall stage of Legion Remix, or alternatively perhaps in the “more rewards” for the Infinite Chaos phase of the Legion Remix schedule.
Anyhow, thanks for taking the time to read, hopefully my points make sense. ![]()
Firmly in the camp that they should be made available again, I agree that the bug was not the correct way to get these forms for druids that missed them. However, the mage tower appearances should absolutely be obtainable to earn from the retail version of the mage tower, it’s been long enough, and the best druid forms shouldn’t be gatekept from players who started their wow journey after Legion had finished
I did not get credit for my Suramar campaign achievements, all the quests are done though ![]()
i think this topic is the best way
ITS JUST MY PERSONAL SOLUTION . both sides will win
I have 22 Knowledge and every 100 Mementos is giving me 25k Power, where as friends who have between 10-20 Knowledge are getting 70-100k Power?
Feel like I’m falling behind on weapon power as they are getting 2 levels per 100 and I’m getting 50% of a level? fix that
Due to an unexpected bug, Legion Remix launched with a circumstance where druid players could use bear and cat forms that they did not earn.
Theres still parts of remix that are STILL UNPLAYABLE due to lag, id say players have earned it tyring to do suramar this week.
weekly reset better fix this bug and all the actual remix bugs and let us play lag free
Speaking of unintended druid forms - Aquatic forms are not accountwide for Legion Remix Druids? This intentional?
My list of aquatic forms is showing as locked/not yet unlocked
Its still as bad. I’m not shocked. Their priorities are on… “other stuff”.
Works for me.
Why timegate mage tower appereances while launching legion AOTC mount, make it make sense.
