Unjust ban got overturned but still can't log into WoW

I’ll keep it short and brief, TLDR; farmed Scholomance and Strath for the new T3 crafting and got hit randomly with a ban on July 18th. Checked my email and saw that I was accused of botting and hacking but briefly after I saw a second email saying “After performing an additional review of the evidence considered in this action, we’ve determined that this closure was an error. We are reopening this license for play and hope you will accept our sincere apologies for the mistake”.

It’s been two days now and I still haven’t gotten back my account. I submitted a ticket around 37 hours ago approximately and have yet to get any response. Clearly I’m a bit frustrated about this situation and would like to know if there is anything else on my side that I can do to expedite the process of getting my WoW account back.

Hello Parasite,

In some cases, resetting your password can help update the status of your account:

If that still doesn’t work, you’d need to wait for your ticket to be reviewed for more info I’m afraid.

Resetting my password didn’t work and my ticket got taken down.

“Following a review of your case, we can confirm that the evidence presented was correct and that the subsequent action taken was appropriate. Our decision in this matter stands and will not be overturned.”

I feel like whoever reviewed my ticket didn’t check that Blizzard literally sent me an email saying that my accounts closure has been overturned and that the initial ban was due to an error is there anything else that I can do in this case?

So they overturned the overturn?

All you can do is appeal the ban.

I’m confused to what has happened to be honest, because right after the ban I got an email saying that it was an error on their part and no other email following that but I couldn’t access the account hence the ticket. Anyway, I did put in another appeal ticket that is slightly more detailed and hopefully I can get a better response this time.

Sounds like they didn’t even read your ticket, nevermind review it. They just saw the word “ban” and sent you a copy and paste responce… seems to be common practise with them these days.

Well, I got my final response yesterday and it upsets me to say that all the years and money that I spent on the game are gone for good.

Greetings,

This penalty has already been upheld. Any further requests on this topic will not be reviewed.

Regards,

Blizzard Entertainment

None of the GM’s that reviewed my tickets even mentioned the email that I asked about I still do not understand how I can receive an official email from blizzard saying that the ban was an error and not getting an elaboration from the GMs. I hate how all responses are shallow and vague and do not explain anything at all. This might be the end of the line for me I do not know whether I want to start over from scratch again or just quit the game. A part of me wants to get back and start over but a part of me has lost its trust and faith in the company. I am paranoid about starting over and getting banned once again for playing the game and minding my own business.

Unfortunately, Blizzard has always been that way. They never disclose a specific reason for a ban, or any evidence they hold.

The reason they give for this is that by doing so, the bot developers would be able to make their bots harder to detect.

I am sorry you didn’t get a better response.

I have been playing with this guy for almost 4 years , he never did anything to constitute a ban.

And the tickets getting an automatic response when a 10 year old account , that you will not discuss the issue anymore is disgusting.

We put too much money and time in this game to get a proper investigation from a GM.

Farming a dungeon for 2-3 days and because it is a bot farm as well to get banned is just another way blizzard shows that it does not care about its subscribers.

Blizzard please give this guy 5 minutes , you will see he did nothing wrong and give him his account back.

You can’t know for certain what the OP did or didn’t do.

These forums aren’t the appropriate place to appeal an account suspension. Thank you for your understanding.
