Take on new challenges through ten new Delves and one new seasonal Nemesis Delve alongside a new NPC companion—legendary blood elf rogue Valeera Sanguinar. You’ll experience more of the story of Midnight interwoven through new quests and even experience the great outdoors—taking the adventure outside for the first time.
Can not wait but please do not make them so dark and gloomy to spoil the mood of them.
I look forward to Valeera as a companion, sorry Brann.
I’d like to see delves extend beyond tier 11, ideally scaling to whatever tier a player can handle, with increased gilded crest drops each week while keeping the weekly hero gear cap unchanged.
A few things to consider:
-
Chunks of XP still drop in the cache after Brann has reached max level, which feels wasteful.
-
Pets we already own x3 should not drop multiple times, as it is frustrating to keep deleting what has been capped.
-
If we are valorstone or crest capped, there should be a system that rewards something else, perhaps extra gold.
-
Finally, please consider the possibility to add more ways to obtain coffer keys, raise the weekly amount we can get and permanently enable transfers among alts.
i agree
looking forward to this too
i hope the tier levels exceed tier 11 and maybe offer a " mythic" version
we need it to be a rogue like, and scale unlimited tier levels
id like the tier levels to not be capped at tier 11
i like the idea of being able to push tier levels and challenge myself
scoreboards could be a thing too
That would be a great addition
My only wish for delves in Midnight is to be able to use my abilities there, and not be limited by artificially created immunities, like bosses immunity to roots and snares.
I don’t have particularly high hopes for the Delve system, especially after it was so heavily overhyped prior to the release of The War Within. It was promoted as this amazing, engaging feature that players could spend hours in and genuinely enjoy. In reality, however, it turned out to be… rather empty. It feels like a shell of what was promised, for lack of a better term.
That said, I do acknowledge the points made by others above me trying to offer a more positive perspective. For example, there was one specific Delve (I can’t recall the name) that was so dark I had to squint just to see what was happening—which certainly didn’t help the experience.
Regardless, I’ll still run them for achievements, for vault progress, or for any other incentives that might come up. I’m just not convinced they’ll evolve into something significantly better than what we have now. But if they do, I’ll be happily surprised.
i think they should offer more puzzles in delves
liek a little side activity you dont have to complete but should you want to , you could
- make archaeology and Delves integrated too
Archaeology could be the Delve profession
for all our Indiana jones fans out there
When you mentioned offering more puzzles in Delves, the first thing that came to my mind was the jumping puzzles in Final Fantasy XIV and Guild Wars 2 .
I would love to see that type of creativity from WoW’s developers. I’m not saying they should just copy those ideas, but I’d really enjoy seeing them design more engaging, unique puzzles that are just plain fun.
Of course, some players always want to finish content as quickly as possible. But adding more variety—like moving parts, environmental interactions, or even a jigsaw-style mechanic to progress—would be a fantastic change of pace. It would be a welcome break from the usual “kill this, collect that” loop and make Delves feel truly different.
i played gw2 for years, and loved the jumping puzzles
also what do you think about this
I would love to see Blizzard do more with Archaeology. I’m someone who genuinely enjoyed that profession when it was first added. Even across multiple characters, I found myself going back to it—I personally found it very relaxing and enjoyable. I know some players found it mundane, but everyone has different tastes!
Adding some Indiana Jones-style flavor or mechanics would be hilarious and incredibly fun. Just imagine entering a Delve with Brann Bronzebeard (or another iconic explorer) following you, where you have to swing across a chasm on a rope, carefully swap a golden idol with a bag of sand to avoid traps, and then make a thrilling escape while dodging rolling boulders or other obstacles. That would be an absolute blast!
Of course, they’d have to handle it carefully to avoid copyright issues—maybe just take inspiration from those adventure tropes rather than making a direct reference. But overall, I’d love to see more lighthearted, pop-culture-inspired content woven into World of Warcraft in a way that feels fun and respectful.
yeah maybe the rewards from the archaeology profession could unlock Tmogs or Buffs for Delves
I really hope that the actual Director of World of Warcraft finally pulls his thumb out this time and gets the team working on Archaeology again. There is so much existing content that could be leveraged through this profession—it’s mind-blowing that they haven’t taken the opportunity to expand it as a form of horizontal progression.
They missed a huge opportunity in Dragonflight. There was so much potential to reintroduce Archaeology, especially with that little reputation sub-quest that felt almost like Archaeology—but ultimately, it wasn’t. Many of us who loved the original profession got excited when we saw it, thinking, “Finally, Archaeology is returning!” only to be let down. It feels like a repeat performance from Blizzard lately: building up hype, only to deliver something completely different.
There’s so much they could do with it! They could add Archaeology-themed transmog sets, mounts, toys, or even buffs. They could even integrate it into The War Within and Midnight—imagine using Archaeology to collect ornaments for your Warband housing. How cool would it be to have a trophy room filled with artifacts like ancient ruins, fossilized dinosaur bones, or rare relics you’ve uncovered?
The possibilities are endless. I don’t know why they’re avoiding it—maybe they are working on it and just haven’t told us—but it feels like a hugely underutilized part of the game. There’s so much potential just sitting there!
