I’m new on Wow and wanted to make the quests to unlock Ban Lu but here’s my issue. The info on the web are just outdated. So despite that I tried to use the information that I was able to gather.
I go on Dalaran (legion) but can’t find the Khagdar PNJ. I finally found him in a tower but he doesn’t give me the quest I need to begin the success required. Just after that a Panda popped gave me quest. I’ve been TP on MOP extension. I did the quests then finally arrived on my domain and there nothing…
So… what’s going on? What should I do. I’m completely lost and I really want to do it. If someone is facing my issue or if someone would be nice enough to take time to explain me exactly and correctly what I should do this would be amazing
Alright, bear with me here, getting your class mount is a relatively long process that requires quite a few lengthy quest chains, so I’ll try my best to list that out here in as comprehensive of a way as possible. I’ll be linking a lot of wowhead articles here, and will try to have all links bring you directly to the respective section of the guide. In those sections, you can simply click on the quest names to be brought to a page with more information about each specific quest, like start/end points, or general tips.
Before we dive in, I’m not 100% sure at what stage you’re at, but it sounds like you just started your class hall campaign. If you want me to look into this for your character specifically, feel free to respond here with your monk, it’ll be easier for me to look up. Also, make sure to be level 45, since most of the quests here require that to start.
Alright, here we go:
Continue and finish your class campaign. This is a pretty long quest chain that (from what it sounds like) you’ve already been put on. Wowhead has a great overview, and the link below will bring you straight to it. Simply click on “Reveal Spoiler” on the box in the Monk section, to see all quests:
Before moving on, make sure you have completed the quest “Uniting the Isles”, which requires friendly reputation with Legion’s core factions.
After that you can then move on to the next step: getting the “Breaching the Tomb” achievement. This is started from Khadgar through the quest “Armies of Legionfall”. The first quest might be available already before finishing the class hall campaign (I can’t remember this specifically), but in order to do some of the parts of the achievement, you will need to have the full class hall campaign finished. Again, wowhead has a great overview of all quests required, so the link below will bring you straight to a list of all of them:
Once you did all of the above, the quest “Master Who?” will become available through which you’ll be able to obtain Ban-Lu.
All in all, since there’s roughly 60 quests tied to this, as well as some very minor timegating on the Broken Shore, it will take a couple of days to complete this. But don’t despair, the content is really enjoyable, and especially the class hall campaign is very engaging and interesting to play through.
Sidenote: Just leaving this here, since I myself missed this at first when I got the mount on my monk, but monks get a little extra on top of the class mount. Together with the mount, you will also be able to buy the pet Ban-Fu, Cub of Ban-Lu in your class hall, an adorable little mini-version of the mount.
I hope the above helps, but please reply here if anything needs clarifying, or (like mentioned above) respond here with your monk if you’re stuck, so I can see your quest progress
Many thanks for your explainations … The first issue is that I couldn’t find that I need to do Uniting the Isles … So just for that thank you. For the rest this is just amazing because I didn’t know what I had to do and in which order quite a mess.
Really appreciate the time you gave me and the clarity of your explainations. Hope we will meet in the game once !
