Yeah, I get it. Im just frustrated / angry since literally all of my friends play at Firemaw and I have waited so long to get my main there. And as I said, I have spent about 1000 hours on my main, so I don’t feel like creating a new main. I don’t care if Firemaw has 30k players or 1k players. I just want to play with my friends.

Please unlock Firemaw already, i wanna move my mage, so i can have it with my other chars for Wrath. This whole thing of getting no info at all, is by far the most tiring thing you do as a copany Blizzard.

Firemaw has nearly half the server pop of Gehennas now, where is the explanation for the server still be locked off…

The response is obviously “we don’t know when”, you can tell that because they don’t answer.
The other thing is the people who make those decisions do not come to the forums or post here. In fact, no one from Blizzard comes here except to make a new post on something inane that they never come back to.

I’m getting really tired of this. Close the company already, or find someone else to run it, cause u guys know 0 about your own game and how it should work. People that want to play more “serious” want alts and some people have their alts stucked on dead servers. I have my main on Firemaw and my alts stuck on Gehennas, how can I min max my character ? Should I buy gold or what ? I want my alt with Mining on Firemaw so I can get JC + Engi on my main. The reason some people came back to play wow is to min max it, not everyone is casual. The reason you can’t run the game properly its because you just see $$$$$$. You’ll win a lot more if you don’t unlock Firemaw and people with stuck characters on those server like Gehennas just character boost another toon right ? I rather play PS again. Going to unsub. After 20 years, the game is still fine, people that run it are just bad.

Well Blizzard will have a solution for the problem they created. Payed character boost. Make new character on Firemaw now to boost her later (sic! Now I sound like Blizzard marketing department employee). That I think will be available as soon as prepatch hits live realms.
However main reason for them to not unlock Firemaw is expansion hype. It may be destructive (potentially last huge expansion of Classic cycle) if they give all slot for transfers first and the people will finish leveling and swarm Borean Tundra and Howling Fjord (well most would try boosting in Utgarde Keep, but considering they broke some boosting mechanics nobody know what awaits is there).
And Firemaw players will say thanks for that when expansion hype begins and Gehennas starts dying in lags. Unless Blizzard are desperately looking for some hardware or cheesy solution for Gehennas time bomb right now.
Devs, come on. I don’t even care if you have a reason for it or even if you don’t wanna tell the reason for not opening the transfers. Just give us some info if you are planning to open it or not. I will be posting this message every day until you decide to take a minute of your time and answer your customers who are paying your paycheck

I’m really curious what’s the purpose of keeping Firemaw locked.
I will play there from pre-patch - it’s just a matter of question wheter on a DK (as one of thousands who will want to main that) or my old main which I can transfer. I guess a lot of people are on this opinion on most dead servers, so it doesn’t really change much population-wise.
open transfers already… what kind of behaviour is this…

Losing my mind over this incompetence. Just give us the reason. The guy is on vacation? Tell us, its understandable. You forgot about the transfer lock? Sure, just say so, at least now you remember. ANY REASON is better than no reason, and any explanation is better than dead silence. The complete lack of both action and information is simply unacceptable from a serious company with loyal, paying customers.

Wrath is coming and people will return, and on a full realm that means queues. More people on that realm means even more queues. It’s not hard to figure out, just stop being selfish.
Your argument doesnt make sense tho. If everything was still blocked fair enough, but they allow new accounts to make new chars. Basically I could still get a close to max char on Firemaw by making a new account, boosting it to 58 on Firemaw and done.
The only reason could be incompetence or money as they want to sell the boosts coming with prepatch
Then 1) lock Gehennas and any other server close population wise and 2) maybe unlock trasfers for people that already have level 70 characters on firemaw so they can at least bring their alts over

ENOUGH! DO not unlock firemaw. All the new people have to level new chars if they want to play here.
