You said that you are investigating the Quest „A Sparkling Fortune“ but was he meant is, that we are missing 2 fractured Sparks, Not only the one from this Quest.
We didn‘t get the weekly spark from this ID.
I think this belongs together, because i dont‘t have this issue on other Characters.
same here, missing this week and last week, already 2 fractured behind compared to other people, so frustrated that i cant still build my weapon, so far behind ilvl omfg
Exactly this, I honestly couldn’t care less about the quest ‘eating’ one of my Fractured Sparks, its the fact that I cannot loot one today which is irritating me.
If I was able to loot one today, I’d at least have my 2nd full Spark and have a 675 weapon to take into raid tonight. I’m unfortunately stuck with a 636 one.
That’s the same problem, at the end of the day: you’re missing Fractured Sparks.
As to what the exact cause is (or if there’s more than one thing that’s causing this situation), and what the solution would be for the players affected by this problem, that will be for our QA teams and developers to investigate.
We will hopefully have more information to provide soon. 
Same issue for me. I assumed it would be a little bug and only being 1 week behind isn’t the end of the world, but then this week I also can’t loot any so I’m stuck at 1.5 sparks while everyone else will be at 2.5.
I was holding out on sparks to craft a 2-handed weapon which I’m still unable to do, which is incredibly disappointing.
I have the same problem. I already have crafted a wrist but the 2h weapon i wanna craft is impossible cause , 1 for sure, spark is missing. We are behind other people and its at least not fair.

Hello, I know there’s a known bug with the quest where it takes 2 sparks.
But I am not getting a spark this week either. I’ve done the weekly Pinnacle Cache quest.
I am sitting at 3 fractured sparks
I got the same issue.
It’s week 3, and the overall amount of attainable fractured spark of fortunes are 5 - three per each week, and two from quests. My mage Altharu is currently stuck at three sparks. One which I dropped 1st week, and two I got from the quests.
I have completed a weekly quest today, I completed 4 M+ dungeons and killed 7 LFR raid bosses - which SHOULD have dropped at least one catch up spark ( since I have not dropped spark last week ), but I am still stuck at only three fractured spark of fortunes.
I actively played last week, and it really does not feel good to not be able to recraft my weapon because of this…

I have the same problem, the exact same one. If any Blizzard GM reads this, I hate you with all my heart (Blizzard). I forgot to continue my pause from subscription and paid the 12,99, so I thought “Well if I paid for, might as well play it”. Jokes on me because Blizzard is the worst company out there and it hurts my soul that I gave them 13€
Oh and I can’t send a ticket, when I click “submit” it just loads for eternity :))). Gj Blizzard :)))
Have same problem on my shadow priest Шедоуфьорд Gordunni serv. 3 fractured sparks, all quests and raid done. There will be 5 sparks on that week. I think we completed quest (bonus sparks) when we have 2 fractured spark in bag and take bug after that. Support cant help with that problem.
Same problem with my monk, a full spark seems to have gone missing from the inventory. Sitting at 3/5 fractured sparks with everything done.
I never got to obtain extra sparks. We should have 5 halves now, I’m sitting on 3 stills.
Got a fractured spark from catchup M+ in week 2, handed in the quest to make it 2 fractured sparks. Also took the ‘Golden Opportunity’ half a spark. Both last week and this new week I’ve been unable to obtain new ones from the Pinnacle Cache quests, or any catchup mechanic. Since I want to craft a bow with 2 whole sparks, sitting on 1.5 is quite difficult and I can’t seem to gain new ones.
So I never lost sparks that I had, I’ve just been locked out from obtaining more. Possibly due to the hotfixes to stop people that recieved 2 sparks early from getting additional ones?
Also, before I found this, I tried to open a ticket. The ticket ‘submit’ button is just spinning forever. Where do I open a ticket about tickets not working?

I have the same issue. Last week, I was missing half a spark as a result of the quest bug - seemingly. And then this week (week commencing 19th March) I have completed all weekly chest content, cleared the raid on normal, done three bosses on heroic and two on raid finder and no half spark for this week either.
I have received 3 half sparks so far, I have crafted an item with 1 full spark and have the other half in my bag. Bug report and ticket submitted.
Hopefully something gets sorted asap, all very frustrating.

i hope it get fixed fast, we all want craft our stuff that other people already have last week, so annoying
Game masters will not be able to fix this issue for you, so creating a ticket is unnecessary at this moment.
That being said, a hotfix was deployed last night to fix an issue related to this. We’re currently waiting more information.
I received one Fractured Spark via Ingame Mail now. This is great!
But one question remains:; Where did i get the 5th fractured Spark? 
The hotfix that was deployed last night should allow you to get a 5th fractured spark from the catch up mechanic (although we’re still trying to confirm this).
