Unobtainable Fractured Sparks of Fortune

Why a GM answer me “you have 6 days to loot the missing sparks with the catch up system” when:
Did all meta quest, all bounty delves t8, all awakened caches, both world bosses, 8 boss raid and 4 m+ .

Catch up clearly not working. Neither raiding, weekly quests nor delves or dungeons drop sparks. Not much of a fix

I did not recieve the the fractrured spark after done every daily and world quests and now I am sitting with one out of two for fractures spark.

I did the same thing, no fractured shard on me :<

Per another GM’s advice, I submitted another ticket today about the catch-up mechanism not working as a fix for this bug. I was told that the fix was implemented on 30 March and is working, there are no new issues raised.

I linked this thread in response, saying that for some people the fix isn’t working because the catch-up mechanism isn’t dropping Fractured Sparks. And like others, I have had at least 25 chances to drop a Fractured Spark yesterday, yet nothing. I am still missing 2x Fractured Sparks.

Can we please get this issue raised, or confirmed that it is already raised? I mean, isn’t that the point of this forum? :slight_smile:

Hey guys, im back! Since i got banned in the Forum for absolutely no reason. :slight_smile:
I did every single Weekly activity so far, went M+ and stuff and i can confirm, that the fix is not working. I received the weekly spark and not even one via catch-up. :woozy_face:

Make bug reports in the game, describe the situation completely without unnecessary emotions (ESC → Support → Bug report).

Yes, please make more bug reports - I believe this is the way to raise this problem to the devs as CS cannot do much in this case.

I have submitted an initial bug report of Fractured Sparks not dropping, and then a second one after the fix of Mar 30th stating that the catch-up mechanism is not working to provided the missing Fractured Sparks.

Nothing a player can do except wait and hope that Blizz devs will put this problem on priority and issue a fix that works for everyone. Soon, while upgrades are more meaningful at the season’s start.

I seriously doubt bug reports - at least in the EU - are in any way forwarded to anyone at all. I’ve reported so many bugs during PTR that went live in that state and required a hotfix.
And since 2019 I report twice a year that the balloon during Balloon festivals in Highmountain goes right below the terrain. In four weeks is spring balloon festival, who’s up to check if it’s fixed?

That having said, I completey gave up hope that we get any support here. We will be behind for the entire season, not that it will matter in six weeks. And they know that also very well and just let it be.

For a bug they introduced when they hotfixed in a quest because some selected players had gained one more spark than others, gaining an advantage in progression - for three days.
And this hotfix now causes other players to be behind in progression now for three weeks, without even any acknowledgement from Blizzard.

Oh and just to add: It virtually impossible to convey the whole story in the 500 character bug ticket by now.

A friend of mine (Sloppybear-Silvermoon) is having the very same issue with missing fractured sparks, he has crafted a 2h staff for 2 sparks and has ONE fractured half right now, but unable to get anymore by any means at all. The /run script that has been floating around has him at 5/5 (which this week is also incorrect, because we should be at 7/7 at this point for 3 whole sparks and one half, he has done all four weeklies every single week but still not receiving anything other than his current week one. So he is short an entire spark at this point which is holding him back in terms of progression to an extent.

Are you going to fix this anytime soon? Because this is insanely slow and quite frankly unacceptable.
(And by you, I mean Blizzard, not specifically YOU - just to be clear haha, I understand it’s not your fault specifically)

I hear ya, Bombliss. This is an important bug, I’d like to think it’ll get addressed. But when. In a few weeks, it won’t matter. Needs to be this week to be meaningful.

And Kvicky, one script only reports fractured sparks dropped from weekly Pinnacle quest completion. 5/5 is correct for this week. The other 2x Fractured Sparks came from a quest near the Catalyst terminal - you collect a Fractured Spark for the quest, and the quest reward is 2x Fractured Sparks. Execute this other script to see if the quest is flagged as true (thus completed) or just ask your buddy fly to the quest giver near the Catalyst terminal. I am almost 100% sure that the quest is completed - who could pass that up? :slight_smile:

Same Issue here on 5 halves and script tells me I have looted 5/5 incorrectly. Somehow the quests in Dornogal “A Sparkling Fortune” and “A Golden Circumstance” likely countued towards the looted weekly sparks.

Same issue here, the support team was super useless. I’ve linked them multiple thread, explained the issue, provided the command saying I should have 6 sparks but only had 4, yet they didn’t want to help me or even understood the issue as I received 10 different answers from then and not an one was helpful.

How many more bug reports in game should I submit as GM didn’t respond to any of them and I submitted 3 of them. It’s honestly super annoying as it’s only happening to one of my characters.

We do not have any tools to influence developers other than the game bug report form. Forum statements do not oblige them to do anything. Mass requests with the same error will oblige the first line of support that considers player requests to create an internal ticket for investigation. They cannot ignore player requests on the appropriate form - this will negatively affect their KPI.

That’s assuming Blizzard have KPIs taking over a month to resolve an issue isn’t exactly performing.

This is a time-critical issue. Next reset this issue becomes significantly less relevant - but still important to address and award the missing fractured sparks.

Can we get an acknowledgement from Blizzard that they are aware of an issue with this fix and are currently addressing the issue? And an ETA, if possible. :slight_smile:

What do you mean?
We are still 2 fractured (1 full spark) behind, i think it becomes not less relevant, if we receive one fractured spark next week, still missing one full Item.

Make no mistake, it is still important to receive the missing fractured sparks as we will be behind everyone else despite playing the same content.

What I mean is that crafted upgrades are often large ilvl increases which helps your character increase in power significantly early in a season’s start. As the season goes on, your character’s ilvl increase rate typically slows, making crafted upgrades less impactful - not negligible, but less impactful.

For this reason it is important that the issue is truly resolved quickly, not just because we all want it fixed. Please Blizz, some news?

this still seemed bugged, got 6 fractured sparks in total, script says i’ve gained 5 out of 5 possible while everyone should be at 7 now.

5 from the weeklies, 2 from the two quests.

So from what its worth, the hotfix didn’t fix anything.
