Unplayable freeze

Hi,
on world boss, dungeons and sometime arena:
i get HUGE LONG freeze for up to 10-15 seconds very often,
but sometimes i can play for 2 hours with no problem(i do the dungeons 3 times with no problem) but suddenly it starts happening, sometimes it happens anyway when i start WoW,
its really unplayable and i can’t figure out the reason

i tried turning off addons but not helping.

what could be causing this, and why is my ram usage for wow so high, 8-10gb
also i get ping spikes on meter dot net to upto 300 ms , sometimes higher, could this be causing FREEZE that looks like a hardware problem?
ive tried already dx 11 legacy, also dx 12, and graphics on 1
rx 580 4gb, ryzen 3 1200, 16gb ram 2666 ddr4

Turning them off doesn’t help. You need to uninstall them in order to determine if it is the addons that is causing the problem.

Trovlak makes a good call here (and is completely right about addons needing to be removed, not just disabled, for testing), but there may be another possible explanation in this case.

From the description of symptoms: I think there is a fair chance that what looks like the game freezing up may be actually the connection to the server being partially interrupted, possibly due to a surge of data packets being lost on the route. Depending on which specific packets are lost that’d not always lead to a full disconnection, but if enough of them drop the result would look very much as described.

It’d likely be worth a shot to monitor the connection for a while during gameplay, and record routing data especially during the times when things go south. Instructions on how to do that can be found here.
