Unplayable lag, High World MS

Same problem here in Turkiye. Using 500Mbps download. My connection tests looks fine. Some of my friends can play without any ping meanwhile I have huge lagspike for 2 days. It’s around 300-600~ms now. I’ve tried everything I can. In other games, I have a smooth experience.

Same problem from Serbia. been going on for a while.

It’s been three days, and the game is unplayable. The lowest latency I’ve experienced is around 300-400ms, but I’m still dealing with 1-second delays. Sometimes, the latency spikes to 6-7k. I’ve spoken to my ISP and tested other games, and the problem seems to be specific to WoW.

i live in Turkey and I have the same problem.

Exactly, that’s all we can get unfortunately with free vpn, without that I wouldn’t even be able to do wq, as it’d be 700; mine goes down to 130 with urban vpn connecting from denmark (a country who, unlike us, never has problems like this).

Alternatively, someone suggested on previous threads about “exitlag”, another vpn that looked really good, they give a few days of free trial, once those are over need to pay, but nothing outrageous, surely compared to the wow sub cost, since we end up being unable to play in the end due to these problems.

Exitlag, last time there’s been this issue, reduced my lag to LESS than my normal 25 ms, and the problem was then fixed on blizzard’s end before the free trial ended.

true, other times it took them a few days to fix the thing.

now using a vpn i have 30 ms of lag

thx for the advice its not a permanent solution but at least i can play right now

There was a recent DDOS attack on Europe that Cloudflare apparently averted. Maybe stuff like that is what’s causing the issues? I dunno. I wish Blizzard would say so if that’s the case. Surely they’ll know?

Every trace route posted here shows the same problem where the latency increases when it reaches ae1-br01-eqml2.as57976. net. My latency climbs like clockwork every night from 8-10pm then stablises.

as57976 is configured to de-prioritize icmp echo packets, yes. If as57976 was the problem ALL the hops AFTER as57976 would have exponentially increasing latency, but they don’t. Therefore as57976 is not the problem, its just throwing out the ICMP Echo packets because its too busy to bother with them.

Well it’s certainly a Blizzard problem. just browsing the threads on this section of the forums, players from various parts of Europe are having issues with high latency, including Denmark, Poland and Italy. I’m from South Africa and I’m affected by this too.

So am i and im in Serbia.

Anything having trouble inside instances for stuttering aswell? Seems to have started this week?

Just as it is scripted… 6 pm = high world latency. Everything else works flawlessly, just logged into rocket league to a 27 ping  wow is unplayable.

It’s truly mind-boggling that a trillion dollar IT corporation has problems sorting out issues like this.

As of right now 17:58 - my tarren mill world latency is 2457. My kazzak latency is 40. Home ping on both is 28.

Yup, problem here as well. Playing on Argent Dawn EU. Was doing the new stuff of the anniversary in Gadgetzan. Home and Server ping way up to 5k plus.

And the Netherlands here if someone wants to know where i’ve got the problem.

If i do a speedtest my connection is perfectly fine!

I also done a bios update on my MSI Mortar MAX Wifi B760M with success.
As someone in a different thread told us to update to your latest BIOS driver, as i own a 13th gen Intel I7 processor of 13700K.
But none of this work. So the problem must be at Blizzard’s side! Hopefully tomorrow things will change with the maintenance!

Game is literally unplayable since 8pm. Also on Argent Dawn and my latency spiked to 8k in Seething Shore. Had a 20sec delay on all my spells. Sort yourself out Blizzard!
