I think Ashran is really bad for several reason however I do agree that mixing and making more events in BG’s are fun. And I hope they do more of it in the future.
One problem though, the more they do the more work it takes to actually get a good balance. The PvE aspect of having a final boss havent turned down all that well for Ashran now when its an Epic BG I’ve played it like 15 times or so now and I’ve never seen the other factions leader being killed off all of them has come down to a resource war sadly.
For a BG like Alterec Valley the PvP aspect of the BG is almost gone mostly people just rush down to afk hill and have fun pulling the boss outside 24/7. If there is five players in total in an AV that is there for the PvP aspect of that is it.
If they ever try something like this again they need to promote and make the PvP aspect be important but also make the PvE goals possible to reach.

Well, I kind of enjoyed WoD as well. I understand it was a boring xpansion but, I was doing pvp and world pvp, ganking and killing players. Had a great time.
Ashran was a lot off fun when you were bored.
it was fun but it was very stalematey without any real way to break them, a lot of the time it felt like bashing your head against a brick wall for hours
I liked it, got my 100k hks achiev back in WoD there + Warlord of Draenor quests and title. I’m glad it was alternative to this premadefest cancer that is present on bg’s. Was very cool and awesome to stomp these pathetic horde weaklings most the time.

Troll barad, asharan…all those is just poor copies of WG, in addition game dont have player capacity to run 3x major battlegrounds…
They shoud go like
Week 1 asharan
Week 2 Wintergrasp
Week 3 Troll barad

Honestly i liked Ashran too. The only problem with PvP is that Pvers currently have the upper hand.
Was low key kinda fun stealthing around as a hunter and aim shotting the enemy healers in the backline while everyone else goes full tunnel vision.
In my opinion if they reworked Ashran a bit it would be fun and still relevant to this day.
That’s cool, OP. I for one can’t stand Trashran, and the sun appears dark in my eyes every time I queue into epic battleground and get this one.

It was great, still do enjoy it, most character based pvp for epics. AV can be but you have to commit to a defensive play or it bypass most conflict.
Think it is pretty broken now, should go back to a wpvp area with decent honor gains.
Never was designed to play like this originally. Now many games even Horde have learned to go songflower and rare at start of each game, if it was wpvp this would be balanced, as it is, totally not. I am amazed to see they try and balance things but sometimes feel like people doing so don’t play or are biased.
If they keep it as it is, starting random side would be better I think(but still poor choice rather than address issue), tower fire mage is also pretty ridic in comparison to frost.
I never saw Ashran as trash, it has more content packed into it than any other bg and was originally designed for all types of players, you could casually farm mobs/collect stuff and contribute with buffs and unlocks or just pvp until you are content.
Classic Ashran Brawl (still inferior to wod ashran) and Korrak Revenge have been the best parts of bfa for me, sucks they are not permanent additions, annoys me greatly lol
