You say that, then you see an Orc :poop: himself and try to show case said contents to his friends. That’s just 8.1

No problem, but you don’t have to play hard to get with me

I’ll beat you in a duel and then you can emote your IC defeat

Seek resolve in the compromise

Can I call you Perry? I do love pet names

The Alliance corruption finds me even here! There is truly no escape!

The only true and accurate way to settle an RP fight is to personally meat up irl and have a punch out.

I can’t stress enough that it can’t be Tesco. I’m banned

If your cripple suddenly rose up and flexed himself into an armor of deathly deadling- His guise would be lost, and the doppelganger would be found for what he truly is- A villain who hides in plain sight, hiding as a cripple.

Alternativly, someone forced a duel because of OOC, and was not expecting to be outplayed OOC.

And after schooling the other player, the cripple goes back to his RP.

Perhaps the ‘cripple’ was having a bad day OOC and decided that they would actually fight for real in the duel. Perhaps the guy pushing for PVP rather than emotes, had been talking smack and so on.

Should the cripple change his RP because OOC he’s better at PVP and PVE than the one pushing for a fight?

I’ve seen this happen across MMO’s, people picking the wrong opponent not knowing that when said person isn’t RPing they are in high end raids, or PVP matches like all the time.

So the premise for your argument about solving fights in role playing is that people don’t actually want to role play in the important situation ? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Here lies your issue. It’s quite a common, yet simple one.

Don’t break character based on OOC feelings gamers.

That would honestly be super based + fun too.

The bigger concern is when ooc feelings mould the very characters themselves

I’ve fought Mudcrabs more fierce than you.

Actually its based on at least one encounter where my character should in RP of lost, but due to my build, couldn’t actually lose because the person did less damage with their attacks than my build passivly regenerated.

Some dark lord of terror unable to take down a side kick, because I was built for tanking entire ‘dungeons’ at once.

That isn’t even getting into the idea that in WoW you can have a duel where one character can kill the other with an auto-attack due to gear and level difference.

If it’s two characters that are supposed to be IC close in skill and ppuwer sure, duel away, but if they aren’t why do it?

That’s not what you initially posted about but why didn’t you just do /surrender ?
