But this is about World of Warcraft
I farmed people in RBGs last night on my hunter
i am sure i can take on a cripple with a shield
Both are MMO’s and MMO combat is more about numbers than it is skill.
Plus we all form our roleplaying likes and dislikes across games no?
Well those of us old enough to have been doing it before WoW no?
I don’t think highly rated arena players achieved their rating because of their big numbers and gear but because of their skill ?
Yeah but obviously your City of Heroes argument cannot be applied here because you can just do /surrender
Take the best arena player in the game, half his gear level and character level and he will lose to a random 120.
To auto-attacks at that.
Kinda hard to out skill and out play someone whose auttoattacks do several times your health bar right?
And if you are going to /surrender… why duel in the first place?
Game of thrones is the rick and morty of live action shows
I understand now why you post on a 32 monk
To be fair, you need to have a high IQ to understand Game of Thrones.
Habbit, after complaining about the Legion Rep grinds for allied races, and getting the whole.
‘You’re only jealous/lazy’ spiel. So I started posting on the race with the hardest unlock.
Why… won’t… you… DIE!?
To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Game of Thrones. The drama is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of fantasy tropes most of the themes will go over a typical viewer’s head. There’s also Littlefinger’s nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Machiavellian literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these arcs, to realise that they’re not just impactful- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Game of Thrones ARE idiots- of course they wouldn’t appreciate, for instance, the humour in Stark’s existential catchphrase “Winter is coming,” which itself is a cryptic reference to the metaphysical construction of the setting. I’m smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Dan Weiss’s genius wit unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools… how I pity them.
And yes, by the way, i DO have a House Stark tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It’s for the ladies’ eyes only- and even then they have to demonstrate that they’re within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand. Nothin personnel kid
The scary thing is that this isn’t ironic
I do wonder if the original copy pasta was someone being a troll, or being genuine?
But then why even start in the first place? Now, if only there was some other method to do an RP fight between characters of remarkably different strengths, like, say… emotes? I should market this idea.
/yield and /forfeit work aswell…
Don’t know about you guys, but in my opinion a priest in cloth taking countless hits from a guy using two heavy swords isn’t the first thing I think of when I imagine immersive RP combat.
AD mexican standoff when
Implying RPers have the balls to actually step up like that.
Come say that to my face
And on the other hand, guy with a sword being able to jump 3 meters into the air, landing 10 meters away from his original position and then beating a mage that can literally set the ground beneath said swordguy on fire while also being able to create a shield around themselves also doesn´t sound like immersive RP combat.
