Remember that gob squad quest where a missile hits Uldir’s first boss, and almost kills him? (-40% hp = one hit from a bazooka). Very, very disappointing.
Blizzard needs more coherence when they make these quests really.

I remember it was in the beginner’s guide that a Night Elf below about 195cm would be regarded as an unnatural or an abomination.
This, for whatever reason, doesn’t stop a ton of people who RP Elves that’d be short for humans. They’re usually Priestesses for whatever reason.
mmm sexy shortstack priestess mmmMMMm yess . … im coooooOOming!
I think there’s nothing inherently wrong with having a “theme song” for your character. What I find wrong with it is the overabundance of edgy punk songs used that seem to have nothing to do with the character.
I think portals detract a lot from RP as there’s not much actual travelling down the road stuff.
I think it’s fine to take inspiration for your character from stuff like GoT and anime. Keyword inspiration, literal rip offs are no fun.
DnD style character sheets are good. They allow for your character to have their strengths and weaknesses but also allows for degrees of success and failure in both. 100% success or failure chance at things is not enjoyable.
WoW ancients (the tree kind, wow sucks at consistent terminology) are the least cool of their kind.
Both LotR ents and Warhammer treemen have them soundly beat. Durthu would have beaten down Saurfang and his invasion of Darkshore so hard that Grond would have been able to feel it.
After facing near extinction, scorn from the Alliance and turning to darker powers for survival’s sake, Blood elves are perhaps the only kind of elves that 100% click with the idea of the Horde… At least they were until Velen fixed the issue responsible for most of their unique racial flavour.
Tbh that applies to Warhammer in general. Warhammer dwarves/elves/orcs/lizardmen etc would absolutely spank any faction or race from WoW
Half-breeds, dragons and alternative classes in roleplay are fine. In the end, it’s how players portray those characters is what matters.
Death knights and demon hunters were a bad addition for roleplay. They contain too much power, creating lots of spots for abuse and are very limited in roleplay options compared to other classes.
Standard WoW UI is good. It’s solid and works.
Vulpera storyline should’ve been more neutral and the race itself should’ve been a neutral race similar to the pandaren.
I really, really dislike blood elf RPers putting sin’dorei as their race on TRP/MRP.
What about the other elf kinds putting whatever 'dorei they are?
Same response, don’t like it.
Here’s a massive one.
Esports in WoW have been more damaging than good for the game in the long run.
Change my mind.
Swearing in roleplay.
9/10 times it just looks trashy, although I’ll always remember laughing v. hard irl a few years ago when someone RPing an event npc activated a goblin explosive by accident and they just put “S***.” in /s before emoting blowing up.
All about the right timing and the right place.
There is a very common misconception(especially in RP) that swearing instantly makes the situation & or character, more serious & mature.
Personally for me, it tends to do the opposite when its used so excessivly.
There are a lot of sailors at night out in Orgrimmar.
Starcraft
Smash Bros
Street fighter
They legitimately make me sad, because they should feel so colossal and cool. I remember my first time playing WoW and seeing one wandering the road in Teldrassil was super impressive and imposing.
But then they’re super easy to kill so.
This is something I generally disslike in alot of RPG’s, with WoW being one of the worst offenders.
The scale of threats is completly off-balance. In WoW, we can go from fighting off giant burning fire demons(Infernal), taking on 20 of them at once solo, to having our greatest adversary next time be a simple boar.
While many RPGS, especially MMO’s, do make this sin(Yes its really bad) overall, there still tends to be a visual telling of that this is a serious threat.
WoW just does litterally whatever. A giant, overdesigned monsterous creature can die in 2-hits, where as a sheep or something can be a raid boss.
My exact gripe with this would be when power levels aren’t translated into in-game mechanics. Sometimes Blizzard does well, sometimes it doesn’t.
Good: Pit lords - pretty consistently either raid bosses or tough quest targets who require help to kill. The game respects their lore power level.
Bad: Lightforged Draenei - employed en masse as shock troops in what are essentially skirmishes even though they are supposed to be both very powerful and very valuable due to their very small population size. Should be used as elite named quest targets instead.
