Unfortunately not, you would have had the 15 minute countdown if it was maintenance.
This is something else going on at Blizzard’s end.

I haven’t been able to find information on it, either. Nothing on the login screen, nothing in the launcher, nothing on Twitter/X.
Would love to know if it’s several hours or just a few minutes.
There was a countdown. Not sure how long, I saw it at 5 minutes left.
There was the full 15 min count down

I didn’t even get a countdown.
Edit: my Bnet client has randomly now let me know there’s a maintenance, it for sure wasn’t there before…

Same, saw it at kinda 3 minutes left and was puzzled, thinking if it’s really wednesday
maybe the item upgrade bug (yet again) was the reason, as per the other thread. One could only hope…

There is now a scheduled maintenance warning on launcher front page, which wasn’t there before servers came down, 1 hour

Glad I’m not the only one to notice this.
Sounds like somebody pressed the button 1 day early and then realized a bit too late - so they just went with it 
It looks like BEFORE that somebody pressed button a week early, because few hours before this reset some M±related API suddenly started to return empty data - e.g. color of scores for per-dungeon and season rating, item upgrades stopped working, etc.

Just looked at the US forum and Reddit, seems like you’re right.
It’s working now
Hello everyone as a followup on this from yesterdaynight there were several issues on the US servers and they did an emergency maintenance. To avoid the same issues on the EU servers they did the same thing as well and a brief server restart occured.
