Skill is - and the fact that ilvl and item color is locked behind higher difficulty content, which can’t be scaled to individual liking. And which was made even harder due to addons.
Exactly - go play as you like it to have fun; not for better rewards. You got it!
Just watch the video why some champions are balanced for skilled players. Now change “champions” with “raids” or “specs”. Nothing more to explain.
This is an RPG, not some other kind of game format, so don’t compare apple with pears. I wouldn’t ask in HotS to have Kel’Thuzad be as easy as Raynor, what I’m asking is that everyone playing the game gets access to all heroes, which is the case in HotS no matter the heros’ difficulty.
So…let me get this straight: you are saying that casuals cant join a mythic raiding guild or a mythic pug group?
How come that I, a lousy world rank 850 raider, can get multiple CEs when I started serious mythic raiding with Sepulcher and never swapped the guild?
Who is gatekeeping the poor casuals from raiding mythic?
I already answered that question before. Scroll up.
is barely an answer.
I ask you again: who is gatekeeping the casuals from joining a guild or a pug mythic raid?
The difficulty of the content. And now I really hope I no longer need to repeat myself.
Gear progression is also part of the game. And collecting mounts, achievements, transmog.
Jup, and ppl should be allowed to do do exactly that the way they like it.
And they can.
Good luck, have fun.
Nope, they can’t - which is why they cancel their subs.
Complaining about not being able to get KSM without doing M+ is such stretch.
It is wild, complaining not getting CE while not raiding. I have no idea why i should keep playing this game, now i can not get CE.
/sarcasm
You are missing my point icc 25 hc is easier raid mechanic wise then current raid normal tier . And it was raided so much more.
Retail is just to hard raid.
There is a good reason why so many wow players prefer to Play classic compared to retail .
Because its easier and because its easier its more fun for masses
The difficulty of the content
The difficulty of the content is properly scaled for the average CE raider.
SoO (first mythic raid) had ~1k CE guilds (lower end).
Aberrus (one of the easier raids) had ~1,7k CE guilds (higher end).
You do realize that mythic raids are designed for people that like a challenge. Not everything needs to be catered to the casual audience and Blizzard is quite clear about that.
1,5k is the average number of mythic raid guilds each tier. SoO and Amirdrassil are clear outliers, so are Aberrus and probably LoU.
Blizzard clearly decided that a raid tier like Emerald Nightmare and Liberation of Undermine are huge misses for the mythic raiding community because they were / are too easy.
So I tell you again: mythic raids are not for the casual playerbase and should never be. They are clearly designed for dedicated players. Just like Riot August explained.
Thanks fella, your endorsement means the world to me.

I did not miss your point. Please read for ONCE in your life.
(in their respective time)
Here, just for you.
And it was raided so much more.
Different times and different mentality. Comparing apples to oranges.
Retail is just to hard raid.
LoU proves you wrong. The current M+ season proves you wrong.
There is a good reason why so many wow players prefer to Play classic compared to retail
Unless you have difficulties reading numbers, Retail has more players than all Classic versions together.
Because its easier and because its easier its more fun for masses
You dont decide whats fun. And with faulty numbers, your comment falls flat.
Because casuals pay the same sub as pros. If they get the feeling to be locked out of the biggest part of the game, they start to ask themselves: “Why am I even paying this sub?” And usually the anser is to stop paying that sub.
In my opinion, everyone should be allowed to get everything done in this game - at their pace.
Equality of rights does not imply equality of results.
As an example: you can buy any single-player game on Steam that has multiple difficulties available. It doesn’t mean that you will be able to complete it on highest difficulty just because “you paid for the game”. It also doesn’t mean that this game should be patched around you just because you can’t complete it on higher difficulties.
You either learn and achieve your goals or adjust them to proper difficulty levels.
Who is gatekeeping the poor casuals from raiding mythic?
You know, there is a massive spectrum between a casual that keyboard turns his character in Delves and a mythic CE raider. Maybe that spectrum is a bit too wide for a PvE-based MMO. I think in PvP it’s fine if there is a massive skill ceiling, because PvP is MMR-based. M+ is also fine, as it’s infinitely scaling. But Raid only has 3 difficulties, and NHC doesn’t feel rewarding
